Whats your preferred truck wash??? Hand wash or what about a brand new tunnel wash with brushes and high powered jets made for tractor trailors and done in 15 minutes time? Also do you use a self wash out bay or look for one that has employees to wash out.

I prefer the Blue Beacon. I simply pull up, give them my company info, and a little army of guys come out and go all over my truck. They do an awesome job too.

I’ve used the Blue Beacon chain for every wash but two. Some locations are better than others, but that goes for nearly everything.

Turtle, do they do anything inside the cab like wash the inside of the windows or vacuum the floor? I know most drivers don't like strangers inside the cabs and some companies might not even allow it. I've never been to a truck wash, but next time I get down to Turtle's Truck Wash I'm going to get one! Lol.

Steady Rain.

Interesting first post...what on earth motivated such an innocuous question?

Do the automated ones seriously take 15 minutes? We have one in our yard and it takes just a tad over a minute. No brushes just very high pressure water.

Rob, are you pulling tankers? Is that why you have a truck wash at your yard?

No, reefer. They just want equipment kept clean. They encourage us to use it daily. I should clarify I'm talking exterior wash not interior.

Reefer:

A refrigerated trailer.

I think it's somebody considering going into the truck washing business.
