I wonder how much you will owe back for training. Do they prorate that?

Geez, that's a good question. I guess I'll find out. Another driver quit at 6 months and payback wasn't an issue.

Well, so far so good. Just talked to my DBL and all they want is a simple letter of resignation and for me to ship my company tablet computer back. She also said when I get ready to start driving again I will be eligible for re-hire at Schneider. But I would have to go through an abbreviated training program, which is fine with me and I wouldn't expect anything less.

I'm going to keep reading everything on TT and continue learning the craft. Maybe I can live vicariously through the driving experiences of the TT community. And I will always be a cheerleader for the drivers I have come to know if only in cyberspace and especially the new drivers coming on board here. So don't think you are getting rid of me! LOL

Thanks, Steve. I'll be following your journey as it progresses.

Isn't it amazing how people can form a bond even on the internet? (thus all the internet dating sites). We actually laugh together, cry together and encourage each other, plus take great pleasure in helping new drivers, especially Todd.

My thanks go to all the moderators and experienced drivers who have patiently been my teachers. And to G-Town, I read every word you post, I have great respect for your professionalism. You have given me "tough love", and it's been a perfect thing since I'm a glutton for punishment. Lol!

Thanks, Neek. Unfortunately, driving made me happy but it's not the end of the world.

I live about 30 miles due west of Madison, WI. Just off of hwy 151/18, Exit 58. If anybody is coming that way and can stop at the BP station (truck friendly) we could meet. This would work for anyone traveling from Madison to Dubuque, IA. or vice/versa. (And I won't be a photo snob like Rainy and NOT post a photo! That's right young lady, you know what I'm talking about! LOL!)

Hopefully you will be able to get back out there soon. Sounds like Schneider will take you back so that is a good sign!

I hope you stick around here for a Packer fan you're alright.

Thanks Bobcat! You are obviously a fan of DA BEARS. I'm a little worried that DA BEARS are going to kick the Packers collective butt again like last year. Packer management went into panic mode because of that, so next season will be interesting. I still think it's funny that Bears fans duct taped a drunk Packers fan to a street sign post some years ago in Chicago.
