Two days ago I was assigned a load which I got a call from someone from Schneider who told me it was part of their Harley Davidson account and that it was a relay since the other driver broke down, which I was to pick it up from Carlisle PA and take it to Mayville WI. So I was fine with that, more miles. They also mentioned I would get a back load near by going back to York PA to keep me rolling.

Well I was checking to see If I had any preplans for tomorrow and they gave me another load for the same account going from York PA back to WI. If things are like this account, I would love to be on it! shocked.pngrofl-1.gif

2400 miles between the 3 loads.

I wish! They have no dedicated accounts really out of my home town besides Family Dollar and National Dedicated where you basically just run loads for dedicated accounts they have. Although I'm in PA a lot, I'm sure they won't let me on this account. rofl-1.gif

The first one was a test, I suspect. A dedicated like black and orange is probably very lucrative and one that wont get screwup drivers to service.

Well Done!!! Even if youre not permanent on it, you've shown what you can do and it's been noticed. Way to rise to the top with the rest of the cream!!!

Sounds like a fun account, although, I would prefer to deliver them one at a time, driveaway style!

They also have a dedicated AMG (Mercedes Benz) out of Alabama to northern Indiana. Elkhart or South Bend I think. I did that once (as a relay like you did) and wanted to get on it, but they said I had to live within 100 miles of the Alabama location.

While I drove for Schneider, I met a few of the H-D dedicated drivers and they all liked the gig.

Congratulations!

My TR when I was in training told me about a load he pulled for that account, he said he thought he was pulling parts, but mentioned it was an actual car in there. I dont know if that was true or not, figured they wouldn't want to haul cars in a dry van trailer.

But for the Harley davidson account, I didn't ask but figured since all my loads are either coming out of York PA or going to York, that you must live near there. Looked it up and they have two setups, one home weekly and the other home daily, but you have to live within 25 miles of York PA.

Way to go Jamie!

I'll be back this weekend, and most likely going to take a 34 hour reset since ill be low on hours.

Dry Van:

A trailer or truck that that requires no special attention, such as refrigeration, that hauls regular palletted, boxed, or floor-loaded freight. The most common type of trailer in trucking.

Cool! Some work... some packing... maybe light moving... all depends on weather and other logistics. Plan to watch the race Sunday. Maybe we can meet somewhere for that (if you are a race fan).

May not have time for a "road trip" but perhaps I can rescue you both from your truck and truck stop!

Any idea where you will park? (Direct text and phone / VM best as you get closer -along with GPS location updates here)...

I'll keep you updated as I make my way there, picking up the next load tomorrow, probably be in WI Sunday sometime.
