Sorry!

Marc, at one point in my journey into the trucking world, I bumped heads with just about every moderator here. Especially Rainy, and Brett. Suffice it to say, I strongly recommend heeding their words, it will only help you, in the long run.

Hugs to A Danielsahn A.

You have said that a few times but you werent as bad with me as you think.

Most newbies who resisted come back to me later and say "i didnt know".

it is almost a right of passage, despite how we try to help. The important thing is that you are very successful now!!!

If one man (or woman) calls you an ass... ignore him (or her).

If call you an ass... you better stop and think about it.

If three call you an ass... it's time to get a saddle!

Giddyup!

I was reading through the high road manual but maybe I missed the section of the pre trip I am guess and would like to study it so I am ahead of the game...

Use this

Thanks I will definitely study that!

Pre-trip Inspection:

A pre-trip inspection is a thorough inspection of the truck completed before driving for the first time each day.

Federal and state laws require that drivers inspect their vehicles. Federal and state inspectors also may inspect your vehicles. If they judge a vehicle to be unsafe, they will put it “out of service” until it is repaired.

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.
