A few shots from today on I-84, running east from Portland, OR towards Mountain Home, ID.

Going up Cabbage Hill. 6% grade for 6 miles. Thankfully, 44 degrees and no ice.

Coming down thru Deadman's Pass. More snow on the southeastern side.

Going over one of the bridges in the Columbia River Gorge. This river is the border between Oregon and Washington.

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.
