Hey my recruiter just called me and I'm good to go! I told him I'd be there Jan 7th. He paused for a moment at that, but I reminded him when we first spoke that I have to close out my business in L.A. first before I can start. He said he didn't note that but was okay with it and said he'd check in with me and I told him I'd do the same. I'm pretty excited about this opportunity and wish I could start tomorrow, but I have almost $5M in sales that I need to close out. In case you're wondering, that's $125k in my pocket by the end of the year, so I need to see it through. That'll be more than enough to get me through my first year of training and driving. Come on Jan!!!

I know you are excited, but understand applications only last 30 days. Because of that you will have to reapply later. A new background check and DMV check will be done.

So when he tells you that, don't be frustrated. In his eyes, you just wasted his time because many applicants pull out before ever getting to orientation, or they get tickets or have accidents in before going which could disqualify them. He could have been working on someone's case who would actually get him paid, so do not get discouraged.

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

DMV:

Department of Motor Vehicles, Bureau of Motor Vehicles

The state agency that handles everything related to your driver's licences, including testing, issuance, transfers, and revocation.

My recruiter at Prime told me to postpone my application until I would be ready to attend orientation within 30 days.

Yes I kinda figured we have to do it all over again, even though he didn't mention that. In my business, loan pre-approvals only last 90 days. I won't get discouraged. At least I know they'll take me. Thank you everyone!!

Yeah i know, like I said the money is good, but I'm just tired of the business and I'm bored! So to me it's not worth it. I want to do an honest days work.
