Today I'm running a back-haul load out of Ohio that takes me back to Delhi, LA. It was time for my "A" service on my truck, so I had scheduled it at our shop in Olive Branch, MS which is directly in my route back. While parking my truck in front of one the service bays, someone approached me and asked, "Do you go by Old School?"

This mystery person was none other than our member "Splitter." We enjoyed a nice visit with each other. I had no idea he was working for Knight. He seems like a great guy, and I wish him lots of success here at Knight.

I've had the pleasure of meeting many of you out here on the road, but this was the first time we hadn't previously set up the meet and greet. This time it was impromptu. That made it unusual and special for me.

Sorry, I was so surprised by this whole experience, I completely forgot to grab a photo of this close encounter.

Nice, Splitter has kinda gone radio silent on the forum, glad to hear he is driving and presumably doing well.

That is pretty cool. It's especially nice to be recognized out of the blue like that.

Yup. Years ago, C.T. spotted me at a shipper too.

Old School, you stopped in Olive Branch and you didn't say "Hey!"

I live here. And I'm ticked!

I thought about ya, but it was supposed to be a really quick turnaround. Unfortunately I'm still here. I'll be getting out of here in a little bit.

Next time, let's get together again. I'll be looking forward to it!

So that makes three of us driving for Knight. He was at Prime, one of Rainy's students. He hasn't been on here since he got his feelings hurt many months ago.

Still a way cool, unexpected meeting!
