What is written here is widely read. Use the platform. Plant the thought. Work the system. The ink is free. Don't doubt it would be an intangible force in behavior modification. I wonder who feeds into jobs in training companies who might evolve this view as a priority someday, for example.
I wish the ink was free. I spent $120,000 last year running this website. Raise your hand if you knew that!
However, I agree with your premise. Next week I will have some announcements about some major improvements we'll be making to the website itself, along with our mission to help people become top tier drivers and live better lives while improving the training process and the image of trucking nationwide. Like BIG announcements.
Interesting...

In truth, Brett, as I waxed eloquent about free ink I had a little nagging thought that well, from everyone's perspective but yours ..... thanks for keeping me honest .....
Exciting news! Looking forward to more.
Oh great, a cliffhanger to carry me through this weekend. Just what I always wanted....sigh.
Thanks Brett.

So Brett, it's Friday of that next week.
What's the BIG announcement?
Wait.. i just realized the line about me being a recruiter jumping in random trucks... hahahhahaha omg... yeah right. I must really suck at recruiting since I direct more people away from Prime than I have brought in. Usually due to background or driving issues.
I have an exciting announcement to make as well.... but I cannot until Prime announces it first.
However, I reached my 1000 subs, am now monetized on YouTube and even started a Merch store with logos such as "Positively Trucking" and "Truckin' Positive". I am doing a $50 Amazon Gift Card contest to find a new Intro. So anyone who wants to enter, be my guest.
I really do appreciate Brett and all of you who have helped my channel to grow.

Holy cow, man! Never realized it cost so much to keep this site going.
Looking forward to the Big news, Brett. And a BIG thanks from one of the drivers you've helped break into this business!
Congrats on achieving your upgraded YouTube status, Kearsey! I checked out the live show briefly today. I dont know how you keep track of all the comments scrolling down the screen. Like herding cats if ask me. But you do it well. I hope your number of subscribers continues grow.

As I recall, Madonna (and I'm sure many others) once said, "Ain't no such thing as bad publicity."
I'm not sure if I'm an optimist by nature, tho sometimes I surely am. I'm heartened by Kearsay's media rise (congrats, lady!), likewise the recent appearance of almost an entire thread here on a trucker magazine or blog (not to mention the mere existence of TruckingTruth itself!). All that, evidence of a welcome push-back against a maxim that "good" news doesn't sell papers, make headlines.
Guess my point is twofold:
- that robust participation from those committed with a common view can be an effective force to change a culture.... can I just say again I'm so glad to have stumbled onto this site and just about daily am reaffirmed with the time taken and talents shared here, selflessly
- it's from this point I'll add my druthers that anything addressing the topic should always include the explicitly stated view that - at a minimum - abusive behavior in the training process is not acceptable.
So much has been written, and written well (IMHO) about the facts and reality of this, namely the staunch existence of bad behavior and how to navigate it to a targeted end. No qualms with that. But I think it is an essential piece to always include a statement that such is not acceptable.

Man, oh man...... before too long I'm gonna be driving, and will I ever rue the loss of this time sitting around, ruminating over coffee.....
