I met an old truck driver the other day and we were talking. I asked him: "of all the places you've been what's your favorite town" He thought about it a little bit. Then he said "Paradise AK" Hey just said it was a friendly place. Sounds nice. Never been near there.

What's your favorite town?

DAC:

Drive-A-Check Report

A truck drivers DAC report will contain detailed information about their job history of the last 10 years as a CDL driver (as required by the DOT).

It may also contain your criminal history, drug test results, DOT infractions and accident history. The program is strictly voluntary from a company standpoint, but most of the medium-to-large carriers will participate.

Most trucking companies use DAC reports as part of their hiring and background check process. It is extremely important that drivers verify that the information contained in it is correct, and have it fixed if it's not.

How about that Ausable Chasm, Jeremy? I, too, love the Adirondacks. These days my mountain jones gets fed by the mile-high pines, decomposed granite and waterfalls around Idyllwild, San Jacinto Mountains. The town itself is artsy, laid back and a unique destination in Socal.

Rookie Doyenne,

I used to canyon carve Ortega Highway in my younger days when thrill rides were more my thing. I'm into beautiful scenery more nowadays.

Anything Boston mountain or upper Buffalo is beautiful. Second definatly W.V its like home. Another pretty one I saw I84 into Portland west of wasco OR next to Columbia river beautiful 500ft waterfalls cascading from mountain for 30+ miles. Buffalo, Shenandoah, Colombia rivers in that order just pick a place and it's heaven.
