Is This For Real?

I came across a post online that showed a picture of a sleeper area UNDERNEATH the trailer. I find it hard to imagine anyone, unless forced by Kearsry, would be willing to sleep in that little death trap.

Judging by the appearance of the landing gear, I'm thinking that's in another country. If so, anything is possible.

Day cab break room

Day Cab:

A tractor which does not have a sleeper berth attached to it. Normally used for local routes where drivers go home every night.

After thinking about this for a while, it may come in handy for you trainers out there.

I'd take it, its hard to sleep with this shifter in the way.

Yes it’s for real, and was on US trucks many decades ago, under mount and some trailers had sleeper compartments in the trailer nose.

Prevalent in the 30s and early 40s. No longer legal, not sure when that occurred, but tractor sleepers were the norm mid 40s to current.
