Um spring has a hangy ting. Looks properly mounted and secured at both ends not sure how cracked bent or broken let D.O.T decide.

Big Scott,

That's a heart attack waiting to happen! I can't imagine that grabbing onto your glove or shirt sleeve. That would be a sure accident in the drawers. Good point on doing a complete pre/post trip inspection although what to do with it after you found it.

By the way, don't see much of you here anymore. How have you been? Still with CFI and hopefully busy. Stay safe.

We had a 5' bull snake as kids that we left in CA when we moved to IL. Snakes don't bother me....altho I don't like rattlers.

What is all that stuff above the snake?

It's a rat snake. They can bite you, but no poison.

I'd be more worried since the snake is not wearing a mask, though. Practice Social Distancing around it and you will not be bitten.

Haven't been driving since July 2019. Lost my DOT card due to high blood sugar. Had a job up until today. The company was a victim of CCP Virus. Planning to head back into trucking. Already contacted CFI. Will see where I can get a DOT physical this week. Brought my A1C from 11 to 5 and lost about 30 pounds so far.

DOT:

Department Of Transportation

A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.

State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.

Big Scott,

Good deal on the A1C and weight loss. I hope all goes well for you in your future. I'm routing for you.

Thank you sir. I always land on my feet. In this case I will be landing my butt in the driver's seat. Lol
