We were coming back from our weekend trip, and saw this on I-77 coming down out of Virginia into NC. I personally have need seen a truck so far up the ramp.

Probably just taking his 10 and trying to get as far off the road as he could. All so he didn't have to listen to all then nasty jake brakes.

I hate driving down that mountain in my personal vehicle.

I’ve been up and down that mountain many many times. It really isn’t that bad. I know of several that are far worse. However I always see trucks coming off on the NC side with smoking brakes. I have no idea what makes it that difficult.

I can see a problem in Winter. However, I've seen "smokers" on I64 heading out of Charleston to VA. I don't get it. You're brakes ARE SMOKING!! WHY ARE YOU STILL HEADING DOWNHILL???!!

At least stop and cool off.

Fancy Gap is a PITA. Always wrecks there.
