Can CBD Pop Positive?

I bought some CBD gummies at my local Bi-Lo that said it contained "No THC". I was cleared by my Police Chief to use it, and did not intend on getting back into trucking until a recent call I had to respond too. I only took 4 and that was almost 2 weeks ago. I'm now nervous because the Swift Orientation personnel said it may show a false positive on my hair follicle test. If so, they will report it to the Clearinghouse and send me home. Has anyone experience this? I'm sweating bullets in the Hotel right now.

If you 'take your chances' and pop hot, you will have to go through an SAP program..about a year, out of YOUR pocket, good sir.

There is ZERO tolerance for ANY THC in this industry, and the 'percent' of CBD is so vague/rogue anymore... I'd go home were I you.

NO CBD products are 'guaranteed' to be 'under' the threshold. Your Police Chief has some 'leverage' as to what 'he' eats ... well, because . . . HE IS the Chief.

*LIKE!* for future reference do not take anything labelled CBD even if they claim to have ZERO THC. There's no way of proving it and just a trace can kill your career. It amazes me that truckstops (I80 Walcott) sell that crap including lotions.

Google pulled up a page from a year ago on Healthline that says 2 to 5 days, but some people take longer. Due to a relatively small amount I'd think IF they had any THC you'd have metabolized it by now.

Regardless, as Rob D said what's done is done. Take a deep breath. You don't need your blood pressure and pulse through the roof that gets ya sent home please let us know what happens.

First off I wish you well returning to trucking, and hopefully your mistake will not complicate your life any further. I personally think your Chief made a mistake with his decision. If a situation came down and a drug test was required even if it were legal in that state any trace would get everyone cruificed in the media.

Unless you're running with the incredibly expensive/incredibly purified CBD (and even then) there will ALWAYS BE TRACE AMOUNTS of THC.

Depending on how much CBD you were using, perhaps even enough to trip a hair test (though maybe not enough to trip a urine).

Due to a relatively small amount I'd think IF they had any THC you'd have metabolized it by now.

THC metabolites are stored in fat cells (and released from fat cells). Which is why most substance abuse (narcotics) are clear in urine after 72 hours - and weed can show up for 30-60 days after last use (depending on quality & quantity used).

I only took 4 and that was almost 2 weeks ago.

I would venture to say, if that is TRULY ALL YOU DID - then you are likely to be OK. Between the minimal amount - and the minimal amount of HAIR GROWTH in that amount of time - EVEN IF THERE WERE TRACE AMOUNTS in the gummies, there likely wouldn't have been enough AND enough TIME for them to have metabolized into hair.

So you are "probably OK" - but I GUESS WE'RE ALL GOING TO FIND OUT SOON - AREN'T WE?

"Only too 4, wo weeks ago" - sounds kinda sketchy. Did you take them for PAIN or some other condition? DID THEY WORK?

Despite the PROVEN MEDICINAL VALUE of CBD AND THC products (aside from the fact that being stoned is fun, and safer than alcohol) - it will NEVER BE LEGAL FOR PEOPLE IN FEDERALLY REGULATED SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITIONS.

Which is why we advise people to NOT GET ANYWHERE NEAR ANY PRODUCT THAT EVEN HAS THE SLIGHTEST RISK OF BEING DETECTED IN A DRUG SCREEN.

Interestingly - Nazi Piglosi's COVID Relief Bill (The M.O.R.E. Act) would federally legalize marijuana - and would ALSO TAX IT. They get two things out of this. Make all the stoners happy (and voting for them) - and MAKE $$ VIA TAXATION. The feds are JEALOUS OF THE STATES that are deriving TAX REVENUES from legal weed. And in all honesty - it really is sad, the number of people who are lifetime felons due to marijuana prohibition laws. Of course - hooking it on as pork on a COVID Relief Bill is atrocious.

I took four as a sleep aid. I found it in the sleep aid aisle at my Bi-Lo. The reason I only took just that, was I became paranoid that I might end up in an OIS and pop positive on a urine test. So I didn't take anymore.

Wanted to let everyone know that I am officially hired on with Swift. Everything came back good. Lesson I learned is: Just stay away from CBD, even if its legal to buy everywhere. Thank you all.
