Cousin of .. yours? mine???... a lizard?? Iguana?? Komodo dragon?? Perhaps. My nephew in NY has a few. How are you, btw ChingasKemps? Yes, they (dragons) have names, too~!!

Me ? Hmm... only people I know in Florida are my sister. Dad and mom and stepbrother all passed away, remember? I've got an Auntie out YOUR way (Burbank, perhaps?) .. that won't meet me @Fancy Gap, haha!! That'd be Aunt Diane.. she's not a reptile nor reptilian, tbh!

OTOH: Could be this . . .

Distant brother of a different mother. ROFLMAO~!! Similar snout.. i've got the Italian 'beak' thing.. going on! Yep... Cold blooded, too! LoL~!

Can you tell the gender of that thing?!?!? I'm betting female; she has a 'bloat' going on!

rofl-3.gif sorry.gif rofl-3.gif

ps: My sister SAVED the ice/snow .. for awhile..in a repurposed 'I Can't Believe it's not BUTTER' container.. in her freezer. Have pix of that, too~!! LoL.

pps: Thought you'd catch the Floyd !

EPU:

Electric Auxiliary Power Units

Electric APUs have started gaining acceptance. These electric APUs use battery packs instead of the diesel engine on traditional APUs as a source of power. The APU's battery pack is charged when the truck is in motion. When the truck is idle, the stored energy in the battery pack is then used to power an air conditioner, heater, and other devices

We're overrun with Iguanas down here. Started out as pets that got out or got released. They breed like rabbits. Dig holes and crap all over the place and are general nuisances. They grow as big as small alligators (well, maybe not that big - but I've seen 4-footers including tail, that have to weigh in over 20 lbs). It is legal to off them, as they are considered in non-native nuisance species.

Being cold-blooded, when we get down into the 40's-50's they don't die, but they go into kind of a suspended animation. They like to hang up in trees, and they fall out of the trees.

So the forecast down here ends up being - sunny, 45 with a chance of scattered iguanas.

Just another example of invasive/non-native species that irresponsible owners set loose on our ecosystem. We have a huge problem with snakes in the everglades eating everything in sight (open hunting license for those - I think the state has a bounty system). We also have a large wild parrot colony in my neck of the woods - not as irritating or destructive.

I know a couple that do iguana removal for homeowners (yeah, it's that bad) and the market for their meat is starting to catch on. It's a delicacy in the caribbean and parts of latin america.

Iguana Meat For Sale - "Chicken of the TREES".

I've tasted it - it's more like gator than chicken - but then again - people say gator tastes like chicken too.

Mouse (from The Matrix): That's exactly my point! Exactly! Because you have to wonder now: how do the machines really know what Tasty Wheat tasted like, huh? Maybe they got it wrong. Maybe what I think Tasty Wheat tasted like actually tasted like uh.... oatmeal or uh.... or tuna fish. That makes you wonder about a lot of things. You take chicken for example. Maybe they couldn't figure out what to make chicken taste like, which is why chicken tastes like everything!

Or EVERYTHING TASTES LIKE CHICKEN? Right?

Rick

I just stopped at our terminal in Cheyenne, Wyoming to do laundry. It's only 28 degrees now, with the forecast high of 50 today! However, the overhead signs have warnings posted for 65 mph high winds starting at 1100 through late tonight.

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

Ice storm at my brother's place north of Peoria. I had just gotten out of the hospital after having emergency gallbladder surgery and stayed inside.

PackRat was not that far from me near Joliet. Think he got held up due to this storm.
