It’s kinda pricey but I like the cleardryve. I have tried blue parrots, road kings(junk) the cleardryve has out performed them all. Good quality sound and no dropped calls. My wife asks me if I am driving cause she can’t hear any of the road noise

Pretty sure they ALL do Bruce, as long as it's hands free..... Funny, 1st time I seen "Texting Zone Ahead" signs in the Virginia mountains and elsewhere, lol rest areas for cell use

I can't recommend any Rand McNally electronics. They don't last. I love my Blue Parrots, however the ear seals are to small. I have one waiting for me at home that I ordered from Amazon and when I get home to get it I'll see how well it works.

Most yes, definitely not all. I know of two in my area that forbid even handsfree headset use while driving.

I've used a Blue Tiger Elite and a Blue Tiger Advantage Plus. Loved both, but they both broke. Maybe I'm just a bit to rough on them.

Still using what's left of my Advantage Plus until I replace it. Probably will try another brand.

Are we allowed to use earbuds? I seem to remember the answer being that those were ok as long as it was in only one ear but I don't remember. It's been too long

Are we allowed to use earbuds?

Laws vary by state. Most state laws consider earbuds the same as headphones.

It is illegal to drive with headphones in:

Alaska

California

Louisiana

Maryland

Minnesota

Ohio

Rhode Island

Virginia

Washington

The following states have laws regarding headphones, but do not ban them outright:

Arizona — School bus drivers and child care providers may not use headphones while driving

Colorado — Illegal except when used in one ear for cell phone calls

Florida — Illegal except when used in one ear for cell phone calls

Georgia — Illegal except when used for cell phone calls

Illinois — Illegal except for when used in one ear

Massachusetts — Illegal except for navigational purposes

New York — Illegal except when used in one ear

Pennsylvania — Illegal except when used in one ear for cell phone calls
