Thanks, everyone. I successfully picked up my CDL in South Dakota and bugged out before the really cold weather hit. Then I found out the truck would be in the shop an extra day (oil change, new tires, etc.), so I popped down to Branson for the evening. The Ozarks are gorgeous in the winter sunset with a dusting of snow!

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

Indeed. I sadly, smell snow and another MRI scan. :( I prefer roses and mountains, too!

Yes, exactly: stopping to enjoy things along the way. This is as much about the lifestyle as anything for me. I'm grateful to be out seeing things instead of just staring at my same computer screen every day.

Thanks, TwoSides and Anne! I plan on doing some hiking tomorrow (it'll be a balmy 35 degrees!), so I'll look for Brett ;-). Anne, I'm happy to give you my magical binder if ever I see you... or I could mail it.

Hang ON to that Binder, Matt....you'll see me!

How'bout updating the group???? How goes it? (Not 'everyone' is in your Fb fan club, like me, haha!)

Best always, man! Pix!

~ Anne ~

ps: I 'briefly' found Brett; think I lost him again, tho! Y'all dang hikers, hahaha! rofl-3.gif
