Woop Wopp ! 6 days left and counting....Only need to go get the dang RT/PCR test, early as possible next Wednesday...Because my original flight thru Seoul Korea connection got cancelled by the airlines. Got my $935 refund in under 2 weeks. Found flight, with 1st 1 used in 2016, for $1,062 but it transitions in Taipei, Taiwan grrrrr 2 hour layover, and Taiwan requires the test pre-flight, or I can't even board here at LAX....1 more hurdle to leap over, no big deal. I will just pay out of pocket the $150 so I will have results within 48 hour window needed (40 hrs due to time of departure)

Says 17+ hours total fly time, so is faster, than 1st flight of 21+ hours. Sold my 5th wheel, etc, now just about sorting/packing and ready to be at LAX Thursday night before 9 pm, flight leaves @ 00:50 am, will at least land in the daytime @ 10 am Saturday the 9th. Need to take 3 suitcases ughhh take all I need and then some, since I don't plan to come back anytime soon lol. Bought the sim card I need to use there on Ebay, so have that in advance, swap it when near landing, so have communication with the girls picking me up at airport-to hotel...Saved going to the mall to get 1 there, that was cool I thought........

Took me week+ many hours on hold trying to get a HUMAN, to find out why original flight connection got cancelled.....Then having to deal with Cal tax board, a second time, they claim to not gotten my W-2 from CRST, my co-worker has same problem. State says we owe them, when we don't ! So had to Fax em my 2, W-2's yesterday. They still ain't got my 2019-2020 stuff fixed ! Took IRS 16 months for my 2020 refund as well, and got a whole $16.xx interest HAHAHA Put on cover sheet to the state, they need to get new lessons in basic, and I will be outta here, so fix it! Found out they go to Soc Sec for years taxable earnings, because both times they had shortest jobs W-2, but not CRST's How? when I got my W-2s they only had Gardners 2 months, and now Legends 1 month of last December's earnings.....Gawddd you CAN'T fix stoopid I swear

So got the 10 pounds of chocolate's to take to them "Pasalubong" tradition to bring to Filipino's....Need to go buy a 16 yr old "neice", a birthday gift, even if it will be a week after the fact lol And YES, I DID have to go get Vaxxed in April to get in over there, constant changes, they now want fully vaxxed and 1 booster, well can't get a booster for 2 months, not waiting longer to leave, so the rt/pcr test will negate that part. Gotta do, what I gots to do lol.

You all stay safe and healthy out there doin' your thang lol I really learned a LOT here since I joined, but didn't rush out and get driving right away. I've NEVER looked at any other trucking site out there, WHY? Everything you can possibly need to know, is RIGHT HERE !! Great buncha people, with sooooo much information, it's kinda overwhelming lol.......I will pop in of course now and then PEACE ! damn I type too much ahhahaha

Wow, what a headache. Safe travels Stevo…

DAC:

Drive-A-Check Report

A truck drivers DAC report will contain detailed information about their job history of the last 10 years as a CDL driver (as required by the DOT).

It may also contain your criminal history, drug test results, DOT infractions and accident history. The program is strictly voluntary from a company standpoint, but most of the medium-to-large carriers will participate.

Most trucking companies use DAC reports as part of their hiring and background check process. It is extremely important that drivers verify that the information contained in it is correct, and have it fixed if it's not.

Geez, man! That's a lot of hoops to jump through and a lot of work. I'm sure it will be worth it. How do you plan on keeping yourself busy over there?

Hey Stevo, I can't remember if I've asked before, but are you going to be living in the barrios or the city? I have a friend from there and she loved living in the barrios.

Lol BK If I get a license there be for scooter but prefer them lil multicab trucks. Traffic there sucks so bad, it's not too safe.

Old School, I like living away from the city, out in the province. Will be on the mountain visiting the first girls family awhile, who knows. But yeah far enough outside the big city, hour away....

They're having a birthday party roasted pig missing out on surely will be someone else's birthday every other week lol

Stevo, I’m surprised by how hard it was for you to get out of the country. For you, I would think the government would make it harder for you to get back into the country. Hehe.

So, did you finally fly out? I thought yesterday was the day.

No BK,,,,I had to get a new flight, a week later..1st 1 cancelled my transit in Korea, so now new flight, I will transit in Taipei, Taiwan. Actually, my last 2 trips there, it was longer to return thru customs here than there lol I had to go thru like 6+ security check points, last 1 present copy of scan thing to show, to even collect my luggage lol.... I said Damnnnn longer to get back home, than to leave here.....

All this extra crap is due to C-19, and now the higher fuel prices. My ticket, $125 is fuel surcharge, and $20 airport exit fee hahaha.....Philippines, the exit fee/tax is 750 pesos =$13.62 at current rate of peso high at 55 to 1 dollar...I made a joke last time coming home, damn I spent 4-5k here and gotta even pay to leave hahaha. But as I seen, same goes for here, airport fee, 20 bucks to leave.....

So I leave now @ 1 am, Friday 8th of July, 17 hour flight total time, so 4 hours faster than original flight of 21 hours. Chose my seats, and meals (Seafood) now I can pre-check in online in advance, don't think I will though will be at LAX 4 hours in advance, to be early check in...eh 5 days to depart will be here sooon ! At least, I'm not a dumb tourist fresh off the plane, and have 2-3 friends to pick me up Saturday morning 10+ am

Pretty much triple the cost on a 1 way, than my round trips before, with all the added stuff/expenses TYVFM China, for C-19 BS lol
