Awwhhh!!

Thanks, PJ. . . we heard of it, too~!! Tipp City is in the Dayton area. Tom ran north today, Fremont and Napoleon.

If he had a Chewy to Vandalia, I'd have been on the OHGO watching the live cameras. I've done it before. He could've been in it....yeah.

Thanks a ton, for asking.. it was a good way WSW of us... he's HOME, too!!

Here's what we found, and have been 'hearing & fearing' all afternoon/evening....!

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

Here's what's left of the DC. I don't know anyone that runs there, but maybe some of our OH or others, may???

Wow.. desecrated. I didn't even know, because my weather app really just follows 'him.' Sure, we had 'TV' alerts for counties, and such.. and I remained aloof. :(

Worse than I thought .. sheesh, PJ. Thanks again, for looking out. Tom had literally NO weather but sprinkles, up in the Toledo area. Wind wasn't even bad. Valley area(s) got it.. sheesh.

I'm glad HE is home; I'll post more if & when we hear anymore. Man, a LOT of drivers were staged there, though. Sheesh..

Thanks again, PeeJ.

ps: If anyone ELSE knows. . . . please add!

Oh boy. Just saw this. My cousin, Uncle and her kids live close to Tipp City. If not in Tipp City. Time to make some calls.

Anne, very happy that you were not harmed. I would have never believed that a modern day DC could suffer such complete destruction. The power of nature.

I have my mailing address in Barneveld, WI. In 1984 a tornado went straight down Main Street and into the country. 14 people died that day. A friend of mine lost his 2 year old son who was sucked out of his mother’s arms while running to the tornado shelter on their farm. Many houses just several blocks from where the tornado touched down suffered only minor damage. I didn’t live there at the time, but I still remember it clearly. Sad.

Hopefully only damages were to structures and not people !! Buildings can be replaced, people can't.....Sad to hear BK, of your friends loss, very sad thing for anyone to have gone thru losing a young child for ANY reason !!

My UPS brother, lost his oldest son of 2 boys, to a brain tumor. Diagnosed at 5 died by 6 original tumor, was the size of a golf ball.....Think was due to living too close to high tension power lines....Grew out my hair 15 years, then donated a 32" ponytail to "Locks of Love" in his memory, since he was always embarrassed losing his hair to chemo....They even put his ball cap in his coffin he always wore, hiding his bald head.......

Only twister I ever seen was when I was 6 walking home from Kindergarten, in KC. Missouri....Seen this huge big black funnel, thought it was a monster chasing me ! I tried like heck to run in my gollashes and raincoat, tripping over my own 2 feet hahaha........Got home, dad came from work and took us to his uncle's storm cellar, it passed our area without damage....NEVER forget that day EVER !! lol Was some scary stuff for a 6 year old !

Anywaysssss Happy Happy thoughts and prayers to those affected by that tornado !!! (22 days to fly away) hahaha
