Maurice is awesome, but no guarantee to get him. I am going to take a couple weeks off. That will teach them! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜…

Between Kearsey and NaeNae, there has been a flood of bad news for each of you. Wow.

Please donโ€™t team together, it might trigger nuclear war.

Hahahha. We actually discussed that possibility in the short term

Hey Kearsey, this sounds like a mess!

One of the many things I tried to teach my daughters was to never waste their emotions. I think it was Mark Twain who said something like this: "I've known much sorrow and misery in my lifetime, most of which never even happened."

I think you've got a great idea taking a vacation now. You'll come back with a fresh attitude, and can make a new start.

I know this is really disturbing, and I understand it. I hope it all turns out well.

That we did. The timing just didn't work.

Now that's the definition of change. I hope this all works out well for you. If I may say, from reading many of your posts, I think it will. You are dedicated to your trade, work hard, and can adapt.

A vacation sounds like a great idea in this situation.

Best wishes for a smooth transition.

I am devastated. I have run for Greedy One Kenobi for over 7 years. Today I was told he is being forced to become a lease fleet manager.

I either go lease or lose him. This man has given me everything I wanted and i have spent years building and improving his fleet to become the best it could be.

People tell me i am treated terribly because i am a company driver and I laugh and thank them for letting me know. I never gpt that memo.

He listened to me cry when my Mom died and when i had surgery.

This economy is hitting us all, not only with slower freight, and lack of hiring, but with restructering. It sucks!!!

I do not know to whom they will assign me, but due to my hard work and reputation... i was able to make one call and placed myself on a mini fleet so i can remain a company driver.

I feel like someone died.

Fleet Manager:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

EPU:

Electric Auxiliary Power Units

Electric APUs have started gaining acceptance. These electric APUs use battery packs instead of the diesel engine on traditional APUs as a source of power. The APU's battery pack is charged when the truck is in motion. When the truck is idle, the stored energy in the battery pack is then used to power an air conditioner, heater, and other devices

Wellllll..... it turns out that the mini fleet owner for which i am planning to drive offered to allow me to drive his truck on "Greedy One Kenobi"'s fleet. This is my nickname for my fleet manager. It has to be approved by management, but we shall see what happens.

If i can pull this off, not only will it shock .y fleet manager that i figured a way to follow him... but it proves what a stellar reputation can do. This allows me to remain a Prime company driver with benefits, have the freedom of leasing without the headaches or financial responsibility, and drive for my beloved fleet manager who was moved to the lease side. The truck owner is going to fit my truck with a fridge, microwave, tv, cb, and sirius radio's high end package.

I cleaned out my current truck today. Everytime i do this, it feels like some era has ended.

I hate change. ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ˜

DAC:

Drive-A-Check Report

A truck drivers DAC report will contain detailed information about their job history of the last 10 years as a CDL driver (as required by the DOT).

It may also contain your criminal history, drug test results, DOT infractions and accident history. The program is strictly voluntary from a company standpoint, but most of the medium-to-large carriers will participate.

Most trucking companies use DAC reports as part of their hiring and background check process. It is extremely important that drivers verify that the information contained in it is correct, and have it fixed if it's not.

Great news Kearsey! Matt will be pleased to get you back, if you pull this off.

Iโ€™ll find out this week which of the 3 remaining company FMโ€™s Iโ€™ll be reassigned to.
