I think it proves Taylor Swift is a big fan of PackRat. Why else would she need 90 semis?

Lots and lots of shoes.

Hope your backing is excellent. I know drivers that have done the entertainment fleet gigs. One venue in Boston was 3/4 of a mile backing, with two bends and an uphill thrown in.

Far from excellent, but improving. That and the inner city driving will be quite the challenge, but I'll give it everything I got.

Good luck Sandman!

For a short time before Walmart, I pulled several trailers for Disney On Ice. PackRat is right though…the backing can be a challenging puzzle.

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

Good luck, Sandman. I too was invited to run entertainment, but it was 10 weeks or longer on the road and it was Madonna. So I took a pass on this one.rofl-1.gif I offered to support anything in my region if they need an extra truck or are a driver down for any reason when they're coming through.

Sandman,

Just saw the news about Madonna being in the hospital and the tour pausing. How has this affected your gig?

Nuts, my wife sent me an article saying that, then shortly after I got a text from the head of the entertainment division. As of now, I'll keep running OTR until the tour is rescheduled. I was really looking forward to that. I'm also checking with her to see if there's any other options, the way her text was worded made me think there might be, but probably not. Either way, I'll keep you all posted!

OTR:

Over The Road

OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.

Sad that Madonna is hospitalized.

The geriatric ward, right?
