Just yesterday I received a pre-plan that is designed to get me home for about four days for Thanksgiving. It made me think how grateful I am for this unique job I landed on this dedicated account. I've been on the road for the Holidays, so I know what it's like. I know there are some of you who will be on the road, and I hope you can be creative enough to figure out a way to make it memorable.

From my family, to all of yours, I want to wish each of my Trucking Truth friends, and all the hard working professional drivers who keep our economy churning along, a Very Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanks OS. I too have Thanksgiving off. However from this point forward until after New Years it's the busiest time of the year for Walmart. We'll be running our wheels off. Best to you and your family! G

G-Town, let me publicly acknowledge, it's been a pleasure having you in here in the forum!

It's been an unfortunate phenomenon that most of the time when we have an "experienced" driver join us, they just don't "get us," and they usually ends up being more troublesome than helpful. You have broken the mold, and I for one, appreciate it!

Hey OS, what a beautiful family!

At my company we have the option of being home for Thanksgiving or Christmas. I chose Christmas. I could stay out for both holidays and receive a $350 bonus but my family would kill me.

Happy Thanksgiving! I'm at my shipper picking up the load that will get me home for the first time in 12 weeks. I'm taking the whole week off. Hope everyone stays safe and enjoys some kind of holiday, even if you're on the road!

Happy Thanksgiving ladies and gentlemen! Here's to another year of putting up with me! I'm glad you're able to have a home life during the holidays OS.

Ps, Bud - call me I'm picking up a load in Chicago today going to Denver. I'm pretty sure we'll bump into each other. Just hope the weather doesn't get much worse.

Old School that's an amazing picture! Very cool. Thanks for sharing that.

I want to second that. There are some people in this forum that we can always count on to give fair, honest, helpful advice and you're certainly one of them. We really appreciate it.

I've raised 7 turkeys this year and they're going to be between about 22 and 45 pounds dressed out the way you would buy them in a store. Yes, 45 pounds - "Big Papi" I call him. He's the alpha male of the group. In fact, lately he's taken to chest-bumping my German Shepherd to get him away from the ladies. But Odin, my Shepherd, knows he's not allowed to retaliate so the turkey is spared for a few more days.
