Congratulations

Your commitment was evident the first time I read your posts. I'm happy to such an energetic and positive new driver such as yourself is now one step further to a rewarding career.

I am sure your future is bright it's so easy to spot. Your first year is your biggest transition, spend quality time with your girlfriend and son. Be proud of your hard work and always remember we do this to make their life easier. Be extra careful out there for the first year, it's the most important year in ones young career. I'm sure in no time you will be paying it forward just like so many of us do here. I am truly smiling ear to ear reading your post. May your steers always be on the blacktop my friend congratulations !

Thanks a lot man! I really appreciate it!

Way to go, Theron! You have the right attitude.

Now the real fun begins. Soon you'll get a truck, then that First Dispatch. (Make sure you start out with an empty trailer.) Get to the pick-up location (Send that "Arrived at Shipper" message!), check in with the gard shack. Drop that empty, find the loaded trailer, hook up, .... now what?

That may not be when it happens, but sometime you will get a now what moment. enjoy!

Shipper:

The customer who is shipping the freight. This is where the driver will pick up a load and then deliver it to the receiver or consignee.

Theron welcome to Swift. Really happy for you.

You epitomize what it takes to succeed in this business; focus, solid work ethic, willingness to learn, persistence and above all a positive attitude. Great job! Congratulations and all the best for continued success.

Safe travels.

Did you set the terminal on fire to celebrate? I mean I know you were excited but that may have went a little to far...

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
