I just found out today I made my 1 year mark. I wish I could say accident free but unfortunately not. I can say that my one accident wasn't dot reportable but it was still an accident. I drove 116k miles and grossed an average of 900 a week. After taxes and insurance and stuff I met about 500 a week.

DOT:

Department Of Transportation

A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.

State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.

Great job! Now change your profile to experienced driver! You earned it. Even though we never really feel experienced lol

I really enjoy it. Right now it's crazy because we are so short on drivers and it's our busy season. But they treat us really well. The pay is fair. The job is not difficult. The benefits are good. The people are nice. Overall in I'm glad I'm here. The only reason I tried OD is because everything was an improvement. Otherwise I would have never left in the first place.

If you're interested or want more info pm me.

Congrats!

I give you two thumbs up! There really is a small percentage of new drivers who make it through their first year. It's a major accomplishment in my opinion. Don't let that little incident weigh too heavily on you. That small percentage of new drivers who make it to the one year mark is even smaller if they accomplish that feat with no incidents.

Your numbers look good - now you can concentrate on improving your performance. It's nice knowing what you've done so far - it gives you some numbers to build on. I always try to look for areas that I can recognize where I need to improve. I'll tell you from my own experience that learning how to maximize my efficient use of my HOS has benefitted me more than any other area I've focused on for improvement.

Good job Driver, keep it up!

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.
