Now y'all are probably gonna laugh at me, I have one key on my key ring, one in my wallet, one zip tied to the frame, one under the hood round ringed to some wiring and a solo I carry for opening the side compartments and the doors when I leave the truck running with my dog in it. 5 keys total. I know, funny but by God theres absolutely zero chance of me being locked out. Actually the one under the hood I found by accident as the previous operator left it there.

Does your Pete also have the option of using an actual key to open the door, PJ?

Oh yes it has it just in case the battery in the fob or truck goes dead.

Omg, someone bumped this old thread. Now I have to remember this terrible time! I haven’t locked myself out since this day, and now I have gotten into the habit of locking my door using the key. Unlike before when I would lock it with my hand as I’m getting out.

I carry one in my wallet, but you can't lock your keys in our trucks at least the Kenworths I have had... you have to manually lock the doors. That's a blessing for me because I locked myself out of my pick up all the time

Same with 2020 Cascadia. I guess that they thinking about people like me when they designed them that way. Unfortunately, while I was in a International loner, you guessed it, I locked my keys in the truck.

I have four keys. One stays in the ignition, one under the hood, one on my keychain, and one old key is what I hand to those few live load/unload places I’ve been to that require you give them a key.

I’ve always laughed at places that require you to give them a key. Like most drivers don’t have numerous keys.
