Just tried Walmart pickup for the first time. GAME CHANGER!!!! Usually I find myself, if I need to hit the Wally World, having to schedule a stop into my route at one with Trucker parking; I rather have to do the chore of shopping when it’s hitting my 10 than try to run through on a 30. Well.... First thing: THERES AN APP FOR THAT! You can save commonly purchased item on the App. Makes building shopping list “peasy peassy Japanesse” Second: they bring it right out when you arrive. I maneuvered the rig to an area close to the “pickup” parking spots, & they rolled my groceries right to the rig.

THEY EVEN GIVE YOU A GOODY BAG!!!

In & out, I was done grocery shopping in 15 minutes; that is 15 minutes from When I punched “Off Duty” to when groceries were completely away & I was waiting to complete a 30. Got to walk my Doggo! 😁

Totally totally TOTALLY worth it. It’s Free! Just download the “Walmart Shopping” app. Plan your route through a location with pickup, & enjoy the Freedom & ease of Shopping! Not to mention the time savings. Cheers fellas!

My wife uses this all the time so she doesn't have to pull our 2 daughters out of their car seats and have to keep track of them inside the store.

Just pulls up to the area and they bring the order right out to her and put it in her trunk.

I've taken my 30 several times at Walmart that allow truck parking. Going to have to check this out. I usually make a list of things I need and then leave the damn list in the truck. So I buy things I don't need and forget one or two items I do. Going to have to do this thanks for the heads up brother. It will save you time because you're usually in a Walmart for more than 30 minutes.

It works great! My local WM down the street offers it, so I’ve utilized it more than once since I’ve been home. I really am glad Tyler posted this. I had never thought about using this on the road...

What about the WALMART’s that are not easy to get into with the truck and trailer? Can this be an issue?

Also, using this service denies the discriminating trucker the unique inside WALMART experience. I always think that the future Mrs. Bruce K might be lurking in a WALMART store. Usually the only candidate is the greeter.

Bruce, every Walmart I know of has to get their merchandise delivered to them on an eighteen wheeler. You should be able to get in and out. They almost always have signs indicating their truck route into their property.

Okay, thanks, OS. That makes sense.

Like Old School said, every Walmart has to have enough for the 18 wheelers to deliver. If you can't get your truck near the grocery pick up area maybe just take a cart and stand near the pick up area and wait for your groceries. A little exercise too.

Yeah, have that too here. Our grocery stores are also providing the service ”curb side pickup” but they are generally scheduled a few days out.

I had a wonderful habit of doing the same thing until one day a light bulb went off. Now I just type the list out on my phone which I always have on me in case of emergency lol.

The pickup is a great idea that I've never tried. I usually end up having to do my shopping on my 30, but there are a few Walmarts on some of my regular routes that I know I can park overnight so I always go in and get whatever I'm running low on. Much easier than rushing through on the 30 minute break. I'll definitely be trying the pickup option though.
