Prime Inc has filed in court to have Amazon change the branding on their trailers, citing harm to their reputation when a complaint is misdirected due to the confusion.

EPU:

Electric Auxiliary Power Units

Electric APUs have started gaining acceptance. These electric APUs use battery packs instead of the diesel engine on traditional APUs as a source of power. The APU's battery pack is charged when the truck is in motion. When the truck is idle, the stored energy in the battery pack is then used to power an air conditioner, heater, and other devices

When I posted this story on facebook a friend of mine responded with this:

"A second suit was also filed against Amazon and Prime Inc by popular hero Optimus Prime. There should only be one Prime in the trucking business."

A prime brawl. With the exception of Optimus prime , I bet Rob Low could take Jeff Bezos

In a CAGE MATCH maybe. But Bezos has way more $$ for LAWYERS than Lowe has. His recent divorce cost him BILLIONS.

I think this whole move into the Transportation business by Bezos is nuts. I'm sure there's an inconspicuous end game he has in mind. I sure wouldn't place my bets against him though, he's far from stupid. I can make a few predictions that I think will be accurate...

1) It won't take long for O/O's to despise working for him. They are going to get squeezed something terrible.

2) He will begin using his trailers as miniature distribution centers. They will be dropped (by starving O/O's) in strategic locations and drones will deliver the packages to nearby locations/residences.

Okay, I'm putting my crystal ball back into storage now, but you guys check on these predictions in a few months/years and let me know how I did.

OS I think your crystal ball is pretty clear. He is advertising pretty intently for people to jump into the home delivery business. It’s a franchise gig and of course he is offering to lease the vans to the franchise. So dropping the trailers at those franchise locations would be the best way for him to save money on warehouse facilities.

I have talked with a couple O/O’s pulling them and they were complaining rates have been dropping.

I totally agree with Old School. Amazon oligarch Jeff Bezos just settled his divorce by paying his ex-wife 38 BILLION dollars! And he's still the richest person in the world. (Although Donald Trump claims the title. FAKE NEWS! Haha)

I continue to believe that you people out there on the road or in training are undervalued and underpaid. But until I'm in charge, please be safe and keep those wheels turning!

Actually I was in fact referring to a cage match...

I don't see many O/O pulling Amazon much because of their program and rates. I've seen more Knight, JB Hunt and US Express hooked to them lately.

Robert, that wouldn't surprise me, but most of what I've been seeing is O/O's.
