U.S. 34 south of Galesburg Illinois. Very beautiful scenery at night.

The McLean County Museum of History in Bloomington/Normal is actually quite good. It's about a mile and a half from the Pilot off of I-55.
Plus there are a lot more sites to see in the Abraham Lincoln National Heritage Area:
