As you know, the fun isn't over yet. TNTwill be equally trying and challenging. Keep your head in the game, and come to us with any problems you have.

Thanks Turtle trainer already giving tips on sleeping in a moving truck. Light sleeper this should be fun. Your diary kinda rings a bell like next morning everything thing went well hehe

TNT:

Trainer-N-Trainee

Prime Inc has their own CDL training program and it's divided into two phases - PSD and TNT.

The PSD (Prime Student Driver) phase is where you'll get your permit and then go on the road for 10,000 miles with a trainer. When you come back you'll get your CDL license and enter the TNT phase.

The TNT phase is the second phase of training where you'll go on the road with an experienced driver for 30,000 miles of team driving. You'll receive 14¢ per mile ($700 per week guaranteed) during this phase. Once you're finished with TNT training you will be assigned a truck to run solo.

My 1911 isn't too fancy. Just an Rock Island "tactical" with a 2.5-3 lbs. trigger and a compensator. Recoil and muzzle rise feels closer to a 9mm with .45 punch.

Awesome job! Getting that cdl is stressful as crap! Now the fun starts! I was a light sleeper as well. But in a few days u will sleep. I got where when the truck stopped I would wake up. So when I went solo I had to learn to sleep without the truck running. However 10 and 11 hours a day driving u will sleep!

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

I'm surprised he hasn't already driven some while you sleep. I did it with each of my students so they could get a feel for what it's like to:

a) sleep in a moving truck

b) get up and drive after trying to sleep in a moving truck

I feel safer testing them this way, since I would be sitting next to them while they drove.

Good times ahead bro! I'm excited to see the next chapter.

Congratulations, 40. Now at least you can start getting paid. Good luck with TNT.

Sleeping on a moving truck is rough. First night or two I couldnt sleep at all. After that I was so tired at the end of my shift I was able to sleep.
