Thanks guyz... im more upser than i expected to be. i knew he was getting old and this was inevitable.... and it may sound mean, but i always thought my dalmatian Rainy meant more to me. Hence my screen name. Rainy died 15 years ago next week. but i have been crying all day.

Add to it that it is the 9th anniversary of my sisters death.... it has been a bad couple days all around

My FM is cool though. I told him i needed to get to the vet and my CPAP died last night too... like wtf???? so i told him i needed to get that straightened out. i just got back OTR after a week off.. and now this.

his response... "no problem. making you unavailable. sorry about Goofball and we will see what tomorrow brings." he even told me on the phone all about his dog who suffered seizures...

but ya know... im just a number at my mega carrier right????

Crying... theres no crying in trucking!!! lol

well.. there is today. glad i have all of you. thanks

OTR:

Over The Road

OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.

CPAP:

Constant Positive Airway Pressure

CPAP is a breathing assist device which is worn over the mouth or nose. It provides nighttime relief for individuals who suffer from Sleep Apnea.

Fm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

Sorry for your loss. And sorry to hear of all the other stuff you’re dealing with. It just goes to show, even superheroes like you, are human. 😊

Btw: superhero comment is a compliment. I just realized some may take it as sarcasm.

Let me get back to digging that hole. 😊

I’m sorry for your loss, Rainy. Our pets are family, and we grieve for our four-legged family members in pretty much the same way as we go for our human family. Best of luck coping. You of course have another family here.

I am so sorry to hear this. My deepest sympathy is with you. How will you ever know when your breaks are set. (Hopefully a little sarcastic humor will help).

So sorry to hear about this. I guess the blessing is you were there. When they put down my dog last year I was on the road. I knew it was going to happen and I didn't want her to suffer. One of the crappiest days of my life last year it was almost like she was on death row... my daughters kept me abreast of what was going on. Not afraid to admit I cried all day
