I've run thru/to 19 States in the past 3 weeks. It's really strange to see how each State is handling this. In WI, MN and ND, they will NOT let you get your own fountain drinks. In ID, MT, WY, UT and others, you HAVE to use a clean cup. That's fine. Today, I stopped in Odessa Neb. Couldn't use my coffee "go cup", even tho it came from Sapp Bros. However, you could still sit in their dining room and eat a meal! Kinda backwards, I think!

Dumbest 1 I experienced at a Loves with a McDs.....Gor my coffee 1st, go into mcds order srep behind rape line beside the order kiosk.....guy comes in stays far away from inside the counter and me.....Lady has to lean over her register to see the smuck....Asks if she can take his order......he stands there no reply looking like a manquin holding his backpack......Again she asks if she can help him,,, NOW I see his eyes and a slight nod towards me like saying I need to move away......He tweaked my bad side I walk to soda fountain called him a few choice words at his idiocy.....then i use the sanitizer near me.....he makes his order then stands where Id left my coffee on the ledge where I was standing before.....My order comes up so I think do I just grab my coffee n see how far he jumps?? Or forwarn him??

So I say " Hey ya wanna move ur butt so I can get my coffee?? Dude about jumped to the corner lol jeeeze.....in leaving I told him dude ur 1 scared little pansy !! Shaking my head, dude never uttered a word the whole time there....

Laura I couldn’t agree more. I came out of Ga. Went to western Ny, then across to Ca. Down and back to Houston. I just got to Wi. Each state is doing things different and we have no idea what to expect. We always carry food in the truck, but we stocked more than normal just do we can eat without dealing with folks and their weirdness.

There's still too much uncertainty concerning the virus. If it becomes more wide spread, it could adapt... making it harder to develop a vaccine to really end this. The uncertainty makes it too risky.

Cases are suppose to spike mid April then level off. It's smart to wait for the level off. But yes....the US Treasury cannot float funds, buy back bonds, and lower interest rates for too long or we'll be living in the shadow of this virus much like the great depression for quite some time.

inside a NYC ER now

My niece sent me this link. She's a night RN in this emergency room. She says, quite simply, they're overwhelmed.

My niece was put on call this past week cause her floor has only a couple patients due to no surgeries. Told her to rest up cause when this opens back up, she will be busier than a one armed paper hanger!

Being on a dedicated account, I oftentimes go to repeat customers. Some of them I go to enough that they know me by name. Everybody has new procedures and protocols in place now to accommodate this whole "social distancing" experiment.

One of my customers had a sign up telling us to un-tarp and un-strap after driving into the building, and then lay our paperwork on the bed of the trailer. They would then unload it, sign the bills, and leave it on the trailer. It said, "Do not get out of your cab until the fork lift driver signals you with three short beeps on his horn." Then we were allowed to get out and grab our paperwork!

At the Hydro plant in Cressona, PA I headed for the guard shack just like I've done for the past five and a half years, and I find the door is locked. The guard comes to the glass door and shouts through the glass for me to stand back eight feet and he will bring my bills out and set them on the table just outside the door. Then I have to wait until I hear him lock the door back before I can advance to the table and sign my bills! He then waits for me to leave before gathering them up.

I'm about sick of this "Boogey Man" altering our everyday behavior. Before the guard closed the door behind him, as he returned to his protective lair, he looked back at me saying, "Geesh Dale, whoever thought it would get to this? I feel like I'm playing a part in a science fiction movie." He is right - that's kind of how it feels. I feel like I'm re-living an episode of "The Invasion Of The Body Snatchers."

I seriously question this whole approach to battling a virus. It seems most healthy people can deal with it successfully. If more of us could be exposed, then more of us would develop anti-bodies. That seems to me the fastest way to eliminate the threat. Why can't we concentrate on protecting our senior citizens and other highly vulnerable people while the vast numbers of healthy people develop a natural resistance to this. Avoiding a virus doesn't eliminate it. Developing an active defense mechanism kills it.

What do I know about fighting the "Boogey Man?" Nothing! I'm just a dumb truck driver who still has some modicum of common sense.

Once we have a significant part of our population with effective anti-bodies we could harvest their blood plasma and give it to the vulnerable folks. OMG, that's just too simple isn't it!

I'm not scared of the "Boogey Man," but these nut jobs in D.C. are literally frightening.

Couple of my locals apologized and said I have to sit in my truck while they unload me.

Really? You want me to sit on my as while you work? Break my heart :)

Bumping this good reading from almost three years ago. I actually will still see people alone in a vehicle wearing a useless mask.

I just saw this thread. Granted I’m not on here much any more.

I am about as unhealthy as they come. I hit pretty much every comorbidity. I got Covid in October. Unvaccinated.

I’ve had much much worse flu.

I was really sick for two days, completely better in five.

My vaxxed wife got it from me, much worse symptoms, too over 7 days to get better, still felt like crap for 2 weeks.

That's not virus protocol - that's programmed behavior protocol. The boogeyman is real, but the boogeyman points the finger to someone or something else as the boogeyman. Textbook psychological operations - 37F activate!

The past three years have felt like a gullibility test. It showed how many in our society are utterly incapable of logical or critical thinking. Many of these people have almost no knowledge of history, either.

I am floored by how many people were completely fooled by all this.

One person said they would forever judge people based on how they handled the 'crisis.' I agree. Whether you trusted the government and went along with the narrative is all I need to know about you.

People who can't think for themselves remain oblivious to deceptive tactics and become foot soldiers for anyone with an agenda.

I remember watching a documentary many years ago about Charles Manson. They explained that members of his cult sat outside the prison for years, hoping they would free him someday. I thought, wow, there are a few wackos who will fall for anything!

Turns out there's a whole lot more than a few.

Scary world.
