Covid 19 Vaccine Unavailabe To Drivers

I have been trying for over a month to get a Covid 19 shot. Day after day, hundreds and hundreds of times. I finally get an appointment for the shot complete with confirmation, only to find it cancelled because I don't live in the correct zip code. I'm only a few miles away and in the same city. They know I'm a driver.

I have been delivering the food they wanted over the last year at my own risk throughout the pandemic and riots for many long hours a week. I understand that there was nothing to be done about it at the time. But now they have plenty of vaccine. Rejecting a driver for an arbitrary reason is to say too bad for you. We don't need you. You're on your own.

I would like to propose a nation wide truckers strike. We all go on strike until they see fit to include us in the vaccination process. No more food or vaccine deliveries from us.

I know this seems harsh. But let's remember, they have the vaccine available to give to me. They made a choice not to give it to me. Like many people in power who abuse others, we must organize against them in order to have our human rights observed.

Hang on just a few minutes. I'm going to get the oil hot so I can pop some corn. This calls for a big kettle of corn!

Yeah...I'll pass. And agree, you want the shot so bad take the time to register properly. How can you blame them for YOUR mistake? I don't think I like your attitude...J/K but seriously take a minute to do it right then go get your shot and quit hating on the man, theres PROBABLY not a conspiracy to keep you unvaccinated and in danger.

They didn't exclude you because you're a driver, they excluded you because you used the wrong zip code. Wouldn't that be your fault?

I don't see what the riots have to do with the vaccinations and if you didn't feel comfortable working during the pandemic, you didn't have to.

You're asking for special treatment because you're a driver and because you worked during the pandemic. I don't feel bad for you. I feel bad for the people that lost their businesses and lost their jobs.

If it makes you feel better, you can go on strike. Maybe sure to document it so we can watch it later.

It's a made up thing by them. You don't apply by zip code. That's the arbitrary part. No vaccines in any 'zip codes' for me. That's my point.

But I don't really see you guys thinking through the unfairness of the issue. And no I can't have your vaccine, because you don't have one. And you won't be getting one anytime soon. Do you not see all the people who are getting it that aren't you?

I’m certainly don’t need one. I’m a 30 yr old healthy male with no underlying health conditions. And yes some places are doing it strictly by zip code. City of Chicago is one of them.

I'm with Bird on this one. I don't need it either so I'm indifferent to it. You said they rejected you because you put in the wrong zip code. That means there's a protocol place.

In case you haven't noticed, most of us don't really care who's getting the vaccine and who isn't. If it's that a big of a deal, apply again. Just double check the zip code this time.
