Apparently OD is opening a new REGIONAL SAFETY MANAGER position for the west coast.

I applied for it not expecting much. Well I got called for an interview 2 weeks ago and today I had my interview with the 3 most important gentlemen in corporate overseeing safety, compliance, and training.

My 9 years in this industry boils down to this moment as my climax. I was nervous for a little bit but after that it was full excitement. I was blessed with having 2 weeks to prepare for it and prepare I did.

There's some seriously big competition but I know I did the best I could have. At this point I need some prayers. This promotion will be a life changer both financially and professionally.

Regional:

Regional Route

Usually refers to a driver hauling freight within one particular region of the country. You might be in the "Southeast Regional Division" or "Midwest Regional". Regional route drivers often get home on the weekends which is one of the main appeals for this type of route.

Congratulations my friend. I'm hoping you get the job because it sounds like you're wanting it. I passed on something similar offered to me at Knight. I couldn't see myself satisfied in the corporate environment. That's just me. You know how I like to get things done out here on the road. I'm a solo act, and I knew I'd be working ineffectively to have the empty suits paying any attention to my ideas. I just want to drive and do things my way.

You'd be a great safety director. I'm looking forward to hearing more about this. By the way, if I ever get out your way again, I'm expecting you and Olga to feed me and introduce me to little Junior B. smile.gif

"Roll On"

Like an old machine Sputtering along Wheels don't turn as fast as they used to Sometimes you take a right Find out that it's wrong Don't know the difference in a way It ain't for now and then Always help me find my way again

Another restless day Looking for a sign Another wasted afternoon Maybe even though The thought is on my mind Don't mean that I won't see it soon It ain't if for now and then Always help me find my way again

So won't you roll on Sweet baby, roll on Roll on Sweet baby, roll on Keep on rolling Sweet baby, roll on Lead the way again

It ain't if for now and then Always help me find my way again

Won't you roll on Sweet baby, roll on Roll on Sweet baby, roll on Keep on rolling Sweet baby, roll on Lead the way again Oh, lead the way again --Little Willies(Norah Jones)

I do not know why this song came to my mind after reading your post. Moving forward in your career is great. Its difficult to actually step away from the norm(driving) even if its the desired path. So roll on friend and best of luck.

LoL, Chris K. !! Good tune.

Best wishes, Daniel B. Awesome. Knowing what bit I do of you, from on here & your amazing attention to detail in your pretrip guide, and other social media arenas, I'm pretty sure you'll be great for the position.

Congrats!
