I hope the people who spam with CB with either crappy music or some pre-recorded non sense, are unable to find a comfortable shower temperature for the rest of their lives. May their showers forever be too hot or to cold.

It's so incredibly frustrating today I turned the CB down after awhile an hour later I turned it back up and he was still going!

Also to that guy in the Alsip area with his constant Robert Delgado spam I hope the fleas of a thousand camels infest your bed.

It amazes me the crap people do on the CB. Last week I was in Council Bluffs picking up at Tyson and turned off my radio because the nonstop racism and dropping racial slurs. After about an hour I turned radio back on to communicate with their shag driver and the idiots are still going at it. Left about another hour later and they're still at it. Is that what drivers do? Park at the truck stop and run their mouth all day????

In Kansas City I tend to pickup 2 different guys around town from their home base starting at 4am. One guy is preaching about god and quoting Bible verses blaming people that lead alternative lifestyles for the world's problems. The other guy just keeps repeating weather/traffic info and to stay safe on the highways and by-ways.

You do gotta admit though, sometimes you hear some real funny crap on there. I80 truck stop in Walcott is real good for that, and saying that Biden is the greatest leader we've ever had never fails to get them going....or so I've been told by a friend smile.gif . Thankfully the children playing around on the radio seems to be far less during inclement weather when the CB is even more important.

O you mean the terrorist neutralizer Robert Delgado? From Chicago Ridge? Bobcat knows what I’m talking about there. One Thursday I had a late start heading out to Indiana. About 430 am turned on the cb and he is on his bizarre rants. Pass back through about noonish he is still at. Started early that night about 1 am. Fired up the cb and he is STILL going at it. I don’t get it. Is he a driver? Is he broadcasting from his moms Basement. It does get frustrating for sure.

There used to be a guy in the West Memphis area who would go on and on about ‘the real deal;’. “go to channel 11 for the real deal….” it was nonstop. I always wondered what that was about.

The ‘be safe on the highways and byways’ guy, also always tells us to ‘always be kind to one another.’ I don’t know what kind of equipment he’s using, but it’s pretty strong. I think he’s broadcasting out of New Mexico. One of his road reports seemed to be of the area I was passing through at one time.

Nothings changed since the '70s on CBs lol My parents, and us of course were big into em back then. Dad made a LOT of friends on the radio. We were in a group, we would go to CB meets and do parking lot security, during them meetings. Dad n mom won a few door prizes like mobile cb's etc over those years, we had lot of fun at it. We went to Baja, the president had a little mountain spot 1 mile from the beach, we went there on the 4th of July.....Of course there was lots of beer drinking going on, they even had 1/4 sticks of dynamite blowing off those were LOUD!

Me and the old man (dad) got into a fist fight, I was 15, he was drunk, and got in between me and another guy I went to high school with, I was gunna beat his azz after he doused me with a 5 gallon bucket of water I told him not to...I never seen my old mans eyes turn colors like a demon, when I shoved him n told him in a lotta F' bombs etc to get outta my way. Well, I'm ducking n dodges dads punches, getting a few in myself, when he had me up against the horse fence. I took a full on shot at my face, I ducked, he hit 4x4 fence post and busted his pinky bone outta his hand...

Our joke after thru out life, Pop's would tell me, I ain't ever to old to get MY azz whipped HAHAHA, I'd tell him "Yeah old man? I ain't 15 no mo' and I'm bigger than you, so if you feel froggy ***hole, JUMP!" Was good for a laugh, I miss the old guy ! He'd been goin on 90 next year

We got our house roof done 1 weekend by dads buddies in 1 day, lots of beer and pizzas lol.....Dad ended up in '80s with an illegal then, base station and 1000 watt linear (military style pull out base) He's talk to Ozzies etc "shootin skip" It could slide thru FM radio bands, n talk like you're on the phone.Had all the goodies side band, etc.

Heard a few stories, around us there were idiots blowing up with crap spam, talking smack etc. Dad and couple his friends went out at least 2 times during the night. Used a loop tracker thingy, to track down the problem makers.....1 time they hook a chain to this guys tower outside his house, tore it down with the truck and drug it down the street a few blocks, and dropped it.....Another time I heard them talking bout them going out to a couple other guys houses and putting strain pins in the coax cable. So next time they keyed their mic's, it fries their radio's finals, and burns up the radio lol

Ok enuff rambling, the topic, just brought back a flood of good ole' memories

I think he is in his mom's basement he signal is always the same when I pass by Alsip on my way to the Chicago terminal.

Now he has "someone else" chime in and say to check out this guy's YouTube channel.

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

I'm just up the hill about 35+ miles from Fontana, maybe a little less PackRat

Well, tonight I just happened to check flights, and found what I been waiting for !! Asiana flight out of LAX July 1st at 12:30 pm, yes 4th of July, holiday weekend, for $937 1 way, and got my hotel for 2 days $54 all in, next get antigen test 24 hours before departure flight (free at local Wal Greens) Just got 2nd Moderna shot May 2nd ( have to have it for entry, oh well ) got a line on travelers insurance for covid, another requirement by Philippine government to get before departing too. $45 for 1 month, can cancel after arrival its just for boarding flight here. Has to show covid coverage $35k n up I can play their game better. And get a throw away-ticket, showing I will exit the country ( but I won't) for $20, it's an actual flight with an airline that can be verified if they want to, but I won't use that ticket...

They don't want you stranded there ,and want proof you will leave... Even though you wont need to show proof once you're there, and just do visa renewals for up to a 3 year stay. Then you have to leave for 24 hours, return and start 3 year thing over lol

So leave July 1st, layover in Seoul Korea 3.5 hours then the 4 hours flight to Cebu City.....Took this airlines in 2018, Korean airport is a breeze to find your connecting flight easy breezy. I never wanted go thru Manila, heard its a real PITA. so in total be 19 hours leave and arrive lol And off to the mountain jungle visit a few weeks....

1 my american friends there just did his visa run. Now if I marry a native I can get a permenate residency status, and never have to leave for that visa run lol Now to get off my behind and get what I need to get done here before I leave, donate my winter clothes, trash old stuff, sell 5th wheel, astro van i bought cheap, and all my VW collectibles I've had over past 35 years. Leave behind my shed and all my tools etc locked up for now.
