What kind/type of trailer is that, Rob/Andy/Mac?

Today’s load brought to you by John Deere. I picked it up at the dealership in Burnsville Minnesota and it delivers to Duran New Mexico (southeast of Albuquerque). It’s only 10’ wide and legal height with gross weight right at 100,000.

Today it’s a fairly rare piece of farm equipment I picked up in Texas and she’s headed to a farm in Iowa to put in some hours. The measurements are 14’6” tall by 11’6” wide. Weight wise it’s pretty light considering the size but with taller loads you run the trailer very low which means not only are you watching your mirrors and everything overhead, you have to watch the ground as well.

I SOOOOOO Love this thread; glad it's still hopping since Pat M. and Bud A. are no longer around~!

Robert B. (Dragon...!) Those lowboys are something else. Here in my hometown, at the intersection of 314 and 42, they had to grate / grade the pavement a few years back. Y'all lowboy haulers kept getting hung up, and it was nowhere on any GPS or Atlas as a 'raised' intersection. Bet it cost our county a 'pretty penny,' LoL~!!

Thanks for sharing, ALL y'all~!

A very rare legal load which delivers Tuesday morning to a military facility north of Seattle. Because of holiday restrictions, we try to book legal loads to keep moving and not get held up for too long. In this case, it gave me a chance to give this beauty some much deserved Tlc. There’s nothing like a fresh coat of wax from top to bottom and a full polish for all the sunny bits to make you feel good. The compliments from others really do boost confidence too.

How many others take the time to keep their trucks looking good inside and out when the time allows?

OOS:

When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.

I'm lucky enough to be able to not only park in a indoor garage but have access to a hose and ZEP soap. So I wash mine pretty much everyday. By keeping up with it, it only takes me 10 to 15 minutes to wash. Inside I do my best but almost all of the customers I go to have a gravel lot so its not as clean as I wish it could be but still pretty clean.

BTW Robert what's under the hood in your rig?

I love a clean truck! Unfortunately I'm too low in seniority so I slip seat but nearly all of our trucks are real clean inside and out. However, someone apparently left donut crumbs all over the floor inside a truck and I got blamed for it confused.gif

I typically wash the truck/ trailer im taking out before I leave the yard at the onsite automated wash daily. The only downside is by the time the sun comes up for me to enjoy the beauty it's already caked in bugs. It's not as bad if I take out a "late" load about 5am or later...

12.7 Series 60 with a little extra, 13 speed and 3:73 rears. Mine gets washed every week and I try to keep up with the polishing so it’s never too much effort. I strip and wax about every 3-4 months to help keep the finish in good shape.
