Interstates have brown signs listing local historical buildings and such. Some are the "Oh, really??" kind.

Driving through Chattanooga, I saw the offramp to the International Towing and Recovery Museum. Oh, really??

Interstate:

What? You haven't seen the RV/Motorhome museum and Hall of Fame in Elkhart, IN? Yep.

And I think there's a hunting dog museum too.

The Longarberger Basket building in Ohio is cool too. Looks like a giant picnic basket.

The tow truck was invented in 1916 by Ernest Holmes, Sr., of Chattanooga, Tennessee.

The World's largest manufacturer of towing and recovery equipment, Miller Industries, is based out of Chattanooga, TN.

I love that place!!!! There's nothing like the peaceful sound of an old Hoover from 1902 that sounds like it was powered by an old flathead V8.

Don't forget about the moist towelette museum in Michigan. (Something tells me the whole museum can probably fit in a kitchen drawer but hey)

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.
