Granite Headstones, load 44,000, 900 miles with 12 stops. All receivers were cemetaries
Food service so mine is different but 10 stops, 17k weight and 148 miles. What about you packrat??
What was your last load?
I emptied out in Amesbury, Massachusetts. Then I got dispatched from there with a load that has three stops in addition to the consignee. This is a very typical run for me on this dedicated account. Here's how it breaks down.
First Stop: The SAPA plant in Cressona, PA.
I ran empty to the plant and then dropped my MT trailer and picked up a pre-loaded trailer.
Second Stop: Alro Metals in Tampa, Florida
Third Stop: This was a job site in Silver Springs, Florida. It was a sub station for a power company.
Consignee , or Final Stop: The SAPA plant in Delhi, Louisiana.
How much did it weigh?
37,000 pounds
How many miles from shipper to delivery?
2,250 miles
The customer the freight is being delivered to. Also referred to as "the receiver". The shipper is the customer that is shipping the goods, the consignee is the customer receiving the goods.
The customer who is shipping the freight. This is where the driver will pick up a load and then deliver it to the receiver or consignee.
The Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) is a person who evaluates employees who have violated a DOT drug and alcohol program regulation and makes recommendations concerning education, treatment, follow-up testing, and aftercare.
I picked up a relay from another driver who was sent home for medical reasons. Gordonsville Va to Richmond to Macclenny Florida...45k....heading back north now.
Almost forgot....Juice/koolaid
Picked up a relay in West Memphis, Arkansas. First stop 536 mile to Melrose Park, Illinois. Then 88 miles to West Allis, Wisconsin. Last stop is tomorrow in New Berlin, Wisconsin. Finishing a reset now. Nest load is an 18 mile deadhead to Pewaukee, Wisconsin deliver 1440 miles to Laredo, Texas.
To drive with an empty trailer. After delivering your load you will deadhead to a shipper to pick up your next load.
4 stops weighing roughly 4,500lb for a total of about 28 miles.
Now I'm going home to enjoy some hot Pho on this chilly, rainy evening with the wife!
47000lbs of shingles. 300 miles
My last load was 1 steel coil, 34,000 pounds picked up in New Carlisle, Indiana. It was going to Mexico, which meant I took it to the Swift terminal in Laredo, 1393 miles.
Picked up my next load at the Laredo terminal, going to Auburn Hills, Michigan, for 1568 miles.
Call me a rule breaker if you want, but I decided to risk it and skip the scale on this one
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
