OS-There are always someone who thinks they are the "cats pajamas." But also an interesting story. I don't think that these "terminal rats" are not specific to the trucking industry, I had some when I was in the Air Force.

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

This makes me think of some leadership training in the Navy about the first 48 hours of a new sailor reporting on a ship for the first time. Be careful of who they end up with because if its someone like these rats and getting poisoned.

LOL!

My late Mother (may she rest in peace) made a number of great Asian dishes including egg rolls. The ingredients are held together with peanut butter. A school mate took one bite, turned red and had to be carted off to the hospital. Turns out he is violently allergic to peanuts.

Next time be aware... you rat only requires a peanut allergy for that to work!

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

This is still a funny story and an informative thread. I wonder what she's doing now?

Maybe I missed it, Old School, but did you get reimbursed for the egg rolls?

🤣 "hey ol' girl, when that epi-pen and sh wears off I'm gonna need my five bucks"

This story was great, I'm glad it got bumped. While she sounds a treat hopefully she recovered fine.

LOL I remember reading this when posted. I would'a probably done it a bit differently, that's just me, I'd probably spoken up and put her straight on her BS lol.....Seems the older I get, the less tolerant I become with stoopid people !! And say the first thing that comes to mind lol

With my 1st Co-driver, we stop at a Love's, I'm buying Halls drops, and for like 30 seconds talk to young guy behind the counter. When all of a sudden, the guy behind me (about 6'4" older looking gent) Blurts out "You gunna be all F'in day??" I took my drops, turned away to leave, and replied "I just F'in might, just to **** you off!!" I didn't see him at first as I did this, my co driver was WOW! I knew you would say something ! And walking out, I said back to him, What? you got nothing to say now? He just tweeked my nerve and he never looked back at me or replied.

So, we go out to the truck, see the guy, exit the gas station doors (nearest register) he strolls over to paper rack looking at the news paper, strides to his rig at the fuel island, and sits there eating whatever he had bought. Oh he was such a dang rush huh lol...

2) My 2nd trip to Philippines, I take a taxi to the mall, to walk around, grab lunch just check it out, people watch, since my friends were all at work and it was a weekday......So I go to this coffee shop I liked there, about 3 of em, in and around this mall. Bo's Coffee, it's similair to starbucks, which they have tons of too.

So I'm sitting outside the place on the patio level by the window. to my right is 3 older gent's well over 60, talking, well ****in' and moaning more like it. How bad traffic and the pollution(exhaust) is, etc etc after about 10 minutes hearing this griping, I say "excuse me, can't help overhear your convo, being so close by... BUT, IF you hate here so much, why don't you just go back HOME,??"

They all looked at me like 3 deer in headlights, didn't say a thing... I got up and walked off, laughing to myself pfffft......They forget they are "visitors", and can't bring their "western" ideas abroad, and think they will change the country they're in....Especially there !!
