I messed up my attempt at a joke. Grr. I meant to say "I THOUGHT about joining ROTC in High school. Does that mean I get to walk around with my head up my ass thinking I'm hot sh** (like hobo)?" smile.gif I thank every one of you that have served. I personally wasnt brave enough.

I wasn’t brave either. Most aren’t. Most acts of heroism is to save their brothers, rather than being “brave”.

And I never saw combat, nor am I claiming I did. Timing wasn’t right.

Not serving doesn’t make you less a man or woman, just as serving doesn’t make you any better than anyone else.

Nope. He's still able to post, though his posts will have to be approved by a moderator now after that mess. I expect he'll find one of the darker places on the Web that will let him cuss, lie, and criticize to his heart's content and find that more to his liking. As we all know, this place isn't for everyone, and thank God for that!

It is so typical of Hobo types to run their mouths, until called out by others ready to kick their a$$. Then they magically shut up and disappear.

Was or wasn't right?

I say your timing was right.

I was recalled for Desert Storm.

Yeah, we get quite a few people who really don't have the personality or the high standards required to participate in our conversations but they try to play it cool and go along with things for a little while. Unfortunately it doesn't last, and usually ends in a train wreck.

If you give a person a little time they'll always reveal their true nature.

You have a point there.

Hobo would/will never make it anyway. Too full of himself.
