By the way, for all of the people with stockpiles of guns and ammunition for this sort of scenario? You'll be the first ones they'll be coming for.

Which is funny - because all my friends say they're coming to my place if SHTF.

0507617001584308706.jpg

I tell em GOOD LUCK WITH THAT - I'LL ALREADY BE BUGGED OUT, because I'm in the FIRST WAVE of those "they'll be coming for".

Hope for the best - PREPARE FOR THE WORST.

My "get home bag" has been in the truck all week. My "bugout kit", is almost finished going into bags (couple more items to get from my Monday Amazon delivery).

Is this the "endgame scenario"? It will crumble into total anarchy first, and millions will be sacrificed.

All I'm seeing is the hysteria gets worse by the day - but it's still local governments, not the feds (YET).

DOD has ordered NO DOMESTIC TRAVEL for military personnel. Trying to keep them on base where they can limit their exposure to the virus - or keeping them on base for a mobilization?

I'm neither scared nor paranoid - it's gonna be, what it's gonna be.

But when push comes to shove - I've got enough ammo to put up a decent fight, staying or leaving.

Everyone who DOESN'T HAVE A CB SHOULD GET ONE.

I've got a set of walkies I used when I was on tour, to keep track of band members. Fresh batteries and in the charger. They're FM with a private encrypted channel for secure comms.

The difference between "paranoid and prepared" - is a matter of "training and intellect".

I was in Walmart this afternoon - relative calm because there aren't any products to fight over. The "feminine products section" is bare too. These women have enough tampoons and pads to get them all the way through to menopause. It's INSANE out there. But strangely - the CONSERVATIVES are the ones most calm of the whole bunch (myself included).

I WILL be going to the bank in the AM - to pull out some cash for the vault. Though, if the whole thing goes to hell, paper (fiat) money will be worthless anyways.

I was by the longshoreman's union hall today. Port Everglades (the cruise capital of the SE), is getting the last batch of cruise ships. Tomorrow has 5 cruise ships coming in - and then THEY ARE DONE. One container ship, and that's all (we usually get 3 or 4 on a Monday).

There's going to be A LOT OF PEOPLE NOT GOING TO WORK - worried about paying their bills. WIth schools closed pretty much nation-wide - there's going to ba lot of PARENTS trying to figure out WHO IS GOIN TO WATCH THEIR KIDS (so they can go to work, if their businesses are actually open).

Publix supermarkets down here - are closing at 8 (usually at 11) to "disinfect and re-stock). Super Walmarts (24/7) are closing at 11 (to do the same).

At some point FEAR turns into FRUSTRATION. That's when CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE begins - and that's when loca/state authorities will start to "flex their muscles" under the guise of "maintaining order".

We're a little safer in here in the "dirty south" then our friends on the left(ist) "commie coast", and the NE - where the local governments are used to lording over their populaces.

This is snowballing rapidly - even in the week since we LAUGHED at the original post in this thread and called people PARANOID...

What amazes me is all these cities and state governments are saying all gatherings of 250 people are cancelled. However many places aren't cancelling schools. I've never been one to believe in conspiracy theories but there is so much that doesn't make sense it's difficult not to believe there's more to it. Why is it nearly every new illness originates in China? Apparently now the chinese Gov't is blaming the US Army for releasing the virus.

Illinois Governor BJ the Toiletswapper Pigster closed all k-12 schools thru the end of March on Friday afternoon, effective Tuesday 3/17. Today he announced ALL eat in restaurants and all bars and taverns are closed thru end of month. He has already banned gatherings of more than 1000 people.

And he said NAUGHT about the rampant hoarding going on. He didnt answer my email asking how families that can't buy groceries are supposed to eat without restaurants... guess subway is considered a meal to him... or the ever popular roller grille delite....

For the first time in almost 4 yrs, the current presguy almost got labeled "uppercase P president" for addressing the hoarding of foodstuffs.

We will see where this goes. Will the Ill-noise ban on gatherings larger than 1000 include a prohibition "of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances" ? Dangerous times, imo, for personal liberty...

"Why is it nearly every new illness originates in China? Apparently now the chinese Gov't is blaming the US Army for releasing the virus. "

Rob, full disclosure, I'm that guy. Y'all know, the one that sees a nefarious hostile state actor behind many of our current events. Child of the coldwar, MP during the late Soviet era, rise of Sino-Asian dominance.

That said, i am in no way surprised they are blaming our military. I have suspected from the very beginning that someone in the chinese gummint authorized weaponization of this bug, and used it to terminate the out of control pro-democracy protests in Hong Kong. The protests stopped concidentally promptly after the bug was reported.

Once the bug starts to get fully unravelled, if it is determined there are fingerprints of genetic manipulation of the lab sort, they want to be the first to claim it "an act of war" - maybe not in that strong of terms, but still.

Ya. I AM that guy. But no one in the Sino-Soviet Bloc is our friend....

Well, from a paranoid perspective, making gatherings illegal is clearly to prevent people from organizing.

It seems that with a call for martial law this will either end pretty quickly because martial law is nearly the last stage of this fire drill, or this is the doomsday scenario that has been predicted for so long where some maniacal world government has taken over.

Whatever they're doing, it's pretty clear now that this virus was a red herring. We're in our homes, we're on lockdown, and now we pretty much wait to see what their intentions are.

In the meantime, the damage that's being done to the world's economy is growing exponentially worse by the day. For each day this continues it will likely take a month or more to recover.

Got the above text from a friend. While it is a very simplistic explanation (not going into HOS , max cargo bolume or weight in a 53' trailer, or any of the other myriad issues that factor into our Nation's pretty efficient retail logistics system) he was satisfied. My ending line was "it's going to like that for months - consumption is outstripping ability to replenish" I never heard back from him on that part...

Illinois is closing all restaurants and bars for dine in Monday night till the end of the month, only drive thru and carry out will be allowed for now.

The GREAT De'Wine(er) did that at about 1800 today, in Ohio...bars as well. Indefinitely. Now, my question is this: How do those servers and kitchen staff and cooks and bartenders survive?!?!? Maybe those hoarders will 'donate' part of their 17,700 bottles of sanitizer, and some folks will come off their T/P?

Makes me happy I live in Amish country. Not really in the mood to buy their 'canned' (jarred) wares, and home'slaughter our food, and chase free range chickens for dinner and/or eggs, ...but I guess I could.

Tom will be on the road bringing y'all boxes, and I may end up cooking w/the Amish. Not even a joke, but at least I've got the option. Idiot politicians have this U S of A in panic mode, IMHO.

Rob T. Y'all are gonna have 'fun' .. (NOT.) Sleep more as you can. Keep us posted. Ohio is relentless; trying to get my hubby a sleeper tractor if they plan on running him ragged for 'BOXES' for product... sheesh. INTRASTATE GUYS are 'free roam' so it seems! (see article above i posted to Brett..)

Best wishes and hope we can survive this derisive governmental pandemic~!

1 of our biggest customers XPO sent out a memo, drivers are NOT to use their restrooms or break rooms.

To enter dispatch ONLY, get B.O.Ls / paperwork and exit the same way you entered....
