Have you considered installing a jet engine turbine to the truck? If you own it you could change the rear end gears. You of course are not expecting car like acceleration right? All trucks accelerate slow, they're made for pulling not speed.

Truth be told we Russians really like to keep our secrets to ourselves and only within our inner circle and to those of which are also of Russian descent.

But driving with sandals and socks really really does make your truck go faster.

Yes, that would work...well...unless he is governed under 88 mph. Would also need an APU that can generate 1.21 gigawatts of power.

APU:

Auxiliary Power Unit

On tractor trailers, and APU is a small diesel engine that powers a heat and air conditioning unit while charging the truck's main batteries at the same time. This allows the driver to remain comfortable in the cab and have access to electric power without running the main truck engine.

Having an APU helps save money in fuel costs and saves wear and tear on the main engine, though they tend to be expensive to install and maintain. Therefore only a very small percentage of the trucks on the road today come equipped with an APU.

Maybe his APU had the Mr. Fusion conversion?

Tell your dispatcher you will only accept dead head assignments and wax the truck exterior to reduce drag.

Dispatcher:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

There is no simple answer to this question. Many bright minds have been trying for centuries, and the general consensus is that it is a combination of factors and solutions. Injecting fuel definitely helps, but there is so much more! Think of wind, for example - weather.com gives you a very good forecas, so choosing a proper direction of driving is crucial - let the wind blow in your tail and be your friend. Another thing, you may always want to go downhill, it helps tremendously! Lower your truck, you hardly need to it to sit higher then 1/16" above ground. And one should never ignore spells and incantations, which are by the way not the same for different makes and engines. Last but not least come some tricks passed down from generations of truckers. A pair of good flip-flops (as it have been pointed out earlier) will make your way from 0 to 60 surprisingly faster, it is a very old and powerful magic...

OOS:

When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.
