Paul, I started when I was 66 and it has been a great adventure. You are just a youngster. Go for it. I wish I had started at your age

The average age of drivers is 52, so you are on the low side! Many on here started driving later than you, so don't let your age be a concern. Everyone is brand new when they start, no matter 21 or 71.

Absolutely not.

This website enables you to apply with more than one company through one submitted application. Someone will probably be along to provide the link (still haven't figured out all that stuff here).

Look forward to future posts regarding your new trucking career adventure.

BMI:

Body mass index (BMI)

BMI is a formula that uses weight and height to estimate body fat. For most people, BMI provides a reasonable estimate of body fat. The BMI's biggest weakness is that it doesn't consider individual factors such as bone or muscle mass. BMI may:

  • Underestimate body fat for older adults or other people with low muscle mass
  • Overestimate body fat for people who are very muscular and physically fit

It's quite common, especially for men, to fall into the "overweight" category if you happen to be stronger than average. If you're pretty strong but in good shape then pay no attention.

Hello Paul. You are definitely very young when it comes to many truckers. I started at 53. That was nine years ago.

Check out this conversation about an eighty year old trucker I met in Louisiana named Eugene.

Paul (and Kerry smile.gif ) here are the application links. I started at 53, never looked back. It is a great career, challenging but rewarding in ways not limited to financial.
