Came across this poor driver this past weekend. He didn’t even come close to making it. Had he checked his gps he would of seen all he had to do was make a right at the next light, and a couple more rights and he would of been fine. Instead he probably got a fine for horribly failed u- turn attempt. Don’t be the one.

I know this is going to sound cold and harsh;

This guy does not belong behind the wheel of a CMV. Rookie or otherwise... we all learn early on: NO UTURNS!

I’m glad there were no other vehicles involved.

CMV:

Commercial Motor Vehicle

A CMV is a vehicle that is used as part of a business, is involved in interstate commerce, and may fit any of these descriptions:

  • Weighs 10,001 pounds or more
  • Has a gross vehicle weight rating or gross combination weight rating of 10,001 pounds or more
  • Is designed or used to transport 16 or more passengers (including the driver) not for compensation
  • Is designed or used to transport 9 or more passengers (including the driver) for compensation
  • Is transporting hazardous materials in a quantity requiring placards

Bingo!!!!!! What gets me is that it’s a short trailer too and still couldn’t pull it off. (Shakes my head)

Its White Volvo pulling a container in the Chicago area, he probably got promoted to head of safety for not rolling it.

He needed my single axle day cab and he would have had it! The last place I would attempt to turn around is a forrest preserve parking lot they are always so small.

Day Cab:

A tractor which does not have a sleeper berth attached to it. Normally used for local routes where drivers go home every night.

You guys are hilarious. I wish I could think of all those funny comments. But keep ‘‘em coming, they really brighten my day. Even at the expense of the Volvo driver.
