I carry Dawn power wash. The second I spot that grease on anything, me, clothing, place it shouldn't be, I saturate it, wait a few minutes, and wipe it away. If it's cloth, saturate and was as soon as reasonable. I saved a pair of jeans that had a stripe down the front of an entire leg.
And We're Learning!
Stay away from that grease at all costs! It gets onto everything (as you discovered), is difficult to wash off, and leaves permanent stains on clothing.
Thanks Nae Nae!

My tip is to watch the movie Grease backwards.
I am a grease magnet. If there is some anywhere on the truck or trailer I will find a way to get it onto my clothes. My daughter got me 2 very nice hi-vis long sleeve shirts for XMAS and I have put off wearing them all winter because I don’t want to mess them up. Now it’s almost short sleeve and shorts season.

Haha, that’s funny about the tee shirts, but I totally understand the mentality.
I once was asked by a supervisor why I didn’t have my safety glasses on. I told him they were brand new and I didn’t want to get them scratched. I was kidding of course.
Good "handles" are usually given to us rather than self imposed.
This. Anyplace I've ever worked, when a rookie comes in and says "I go by (blank)" or "they call me (blank)", they usually get laughed at and it becomes a thing that that handle will never be used. I currently go by bigbird, not by choice.
I do find it interesting that this is not the first time I've seen you mention cb handles-don't you have more important things to worry about right now?

I'm glad you're enjoying yourself. The time in training is short, but memorable. There are times I wish I can go back to training, but with what I know now so I wouldn't suck as bad lol.
Enjoy it, take it all in and when you're on the road for the first time.... There are no words to describe that mix of emotions.

At least in the past, you could count on people learning about trucking from accurate sources, like the movie "Convoy" or the show "B. J. and the Bear" or their father listening to Red Sovine.
Zen Joker, your sense of humor will be a great asset! If a man can't enjoy a little humor at his own expense, his comrades will use exposure therapy to cure that weakness! So either bring it upon yourself or have it brought upon you.

It's about being able to laugh at yourself and accept the fact that we all look silly when we're first learning, so just relax and enjoy the ride!
