We were trying to arrange a meet-up with Michael to get him a new phone and he is delayed a bit because of damaged goods.

He drives reefer but sometimes hauls other items and he presently has six pallets of various crackers left in his trailer after being unloaded last night. The receiver wanted to bill Marten for the damaged goods but wasn't Marten that caused the damage so he stayed at the receiver overnight (over 12 hours) until they could get things worked out this morning. I don't know yet if he is bringing product home or going to a food bank or what. We do have some sweet potato fries in our freezer from a prior damaged incident but that was just "small fries" compared to this load. He previously took Hot Pockets to a food bank.

Reefer:

A refrigerated trailer.

Bumping this. In reference to Turtles rebuke of Ryan? Totally true. I agree 100%.

To my fellow moderators… delete Ryans nonsense. Anything antagonistic and insulting, delete it. Ryan cannot be reasoned with, don’t try. It only encourages another hundred words of useless information. Delete his BS.

You all know what is right and wrong. Brett gave you moderation rights for a reason. Use them wisely.

G-Town,

What Moderation Rights? All I have ever noticed is a word in red: "Moderator" on my profile. No Approve/Disapprove comments, edit, etc. capabilities for me. It's been that way for the previous two or three years.

You must've forgotten that Brett only allowed a few long-time mods to have the ability to approve/disapprove posts by new members or those in moderation. It was mostly done to prevent vulgar or offensive posts from being published, but also to stop spam. With 4 of us monitoring new posts, it has been successful I think.

To be clear, none of us have the ability to edit or delete posts.

Bruce's approach is none of your concern. He asks a genuine question in a genuine way, and his topics spark beneficial conversations.

Your approach however is always simply to criticize someone or something in an effort to boost your own self-perceived sense of worth. Your replies spark negativity.

You are not the same.

Good to hear from you again, Turtle. I hope you are doing well. Take care of yourself.

Ryan, how can you be any more obtuse? Really, this is your reply to what Turtle said? confused.gif

Yes, that was my response to Turtle.

Even after the disposition is the product is to be disposed of, no company I’ve ever been to will allow their employees to accept it.

It would invite accusations of proxy being refused as damaged for personal gain.

I’m always surprised that the dock workers don’t keep this stuff for themselves, the driver would never know.

My guess is because they don't know what the shipper wants to do with it and if they accept the shipment, they'll be paying for it.

If they leave it on the trailer it's refused and it's up to the shipper to decide what to do with it.

Shipper:

I wasn’t going to chime in, but my first thought was wow, that’s pretty bold for a rookie. I’m sure there is a lot Ryan doesn’t know.

I’ve been doing this a bit over 4 years, and there is a sh*t load I don’t know.
