Awesome and congratulations on your new gig. I know you enjoy teaching and hopefully your new students won't be as incorrigible as the ones in your previous career prior to trucking.

Thank you, everybody! I have actually been waiting for a year for this gig. The Powers That Be were sticking with "three years' driving experience" instead recognizing teaching experience.

The participants of Trucking Truth helped greatly. "All kinds" have come through TT, just as in any truck driving class. In my interview I credited TT for a "leg up" in understanding what kind of "baggage" potential drivers bring with them.

So, yes, from an older Trucking Truth hand, thank you, everybody, from Brett and Old School, G-Town, Pianoman, Rainy, Susan, and even all the newbies and one-posters.

@Sue, I bet there really isn't much of a difference between middle schoolers and some of the people trying out trucking as their next career move. I'll let you know.

I can believe middle or high school students may not be much different than some people getting off the bus. However i can guarantee the kids on my old elementary school bus route would shorten most drivers lives. With the right attitude most things are possible though. Good luck enjoy your new position.

Now someone could go to Memphis and knock out meeting 2 TTers. Since that is 6 strings back yard as well.

Actually Six String is at Old Dominion in Carlisle, PA. But, meeting Errol is just as good as getting a twofer.

Hey Errol, check out this street where I made a delivery in Houston, TX yesterday.

Sorry, OS: two L's in "Errol" voids this entry. As far as I know, I own the town of ERROL, NH, and a street in Morro Bay, CA.

Thanks for trying.

Wait a minute. "Port Erroll" is just too cool to pass on, even if they spelled it wrong.

It counts.

Port Erroll. I like that.

It's way better than "Portly Errol." shocked.png

I guess I have my wires crossed, but I swear 6 string talked about running that way before.

Ok, but we'll stick with the Port Errol. It has a better ring to it than Starboard Errol!
