I hope all you TT people are having a great holiday weekend.

What are you doing this holiday? I drove yesterday and there was not much truck traffic. Not much fireworks on the interstate , lol.

Interstate:

Commercial trade, business, movement of goods or money, or transportation from one state to another, regulated by the Federal Department Of Transportation (DOT).

Just hanging out at the house BK, went to see a few people, spent yesterday at an old boss's house for a bar-b-que. Since I won't be seeing em all for awhile lol. The 2 big dogs, Lab & Boxer/Pit mix,, sleepin' with me outside, since they think I'm their master, and will miss me hahaha Finish up buying a few odds n ends to take with me, since this coming week, will be gone in a quick minute.dancing.gif

Happy 4th everyone!

I'm just chillin at the house. It turns out I'm in a great location for fireworks. I live up above a lake. The people down on the lake shoot off fireworks, which explode at about eye level for me. Great show, right from my back deck!

I’m making my delivery early July 4th morning in Cashton, WI after four days driving from San Leandro, CA.

Did see some fireworks going off along I-80 in Nebraska.

I'm heading with a load of beef back to TraPac at the Port of Oakland. Going across I-40 right now. Hopefully will get 125 mi into California tonight and take it on into Oakland tomorrow by 1500. Then I'll sit there overnight, which I did 5 years ago, and watch all the fireworks up and down the area around Oakland. Then will get another load Tuesday and head east to do it all over again.

Happy 4th. I'm up in Jerome AZ staying at the grand hotel, haunted ghost town where Maynard from tool has a winery.

Caught a flu though, not the big C. Just trying to recover from that, have a load going out on Monday afternoon.

We’re getting some stuff around the house. Small interior project building a new pantry. Trailer is loaded and parked outside. Delivery pushed out because customer could not get a crane this week. Wed renew my DOT physical and pickup my new trailer on thursday. Fireworks really aren’t a big thing for us.

DOT:

Department Of Transportation

A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.

State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.

Start out tonight from Wisconsin to California to deliver Friday out there. Fireworks are a PTSD trigger for me.

Happy Independence Day to all American citizens. Value the freedoms we have now as they are disappearing with each passing day.

SAP:

Substance Abuse Professional

The Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) is a person who evaluates employees who have violated a DOT drug and alcohol program regulation and makes recommendations concerning education, treatment, follow-up testing, and aftercare.
