Have Things Been Slow For The Rest Of You?

I just realized the other day that our entertainment fleet came off the road last week. So that's 30 more drivers back on the road needing loads. I think that's why load slowed down for us a little bit. I would expect that to pick up again!

With that sector of transportation, I would think it's winding down/slow season now with the warmer days behind us in most areas, most vacations over, and the kids back in school.

Sure this is one of the Leftist goals, Brett: Create high enough fuel costs, constantly bombard the populace with the false narrative that if we all had electric vehicles everyone is happy and we saved the planet together! The left has done this for decades. Say the same thing repeatedly and it magically becomes the truth. "Just take our word for it because we know better than you stupid little people."

I agree completely. We're living through a deliberate destruction of the world's economy so central bankers can install digital currencies. Once they remove cash from society, they have complete surveillance and control over the population. They can dictate every move we make, and eliminate us from society altogether at their whim. China already has this. It's called a "Social Credit Score." If the government approves of your way of living, they'll allow you access to society. If not, you're excluded.

Am I the only one that's noticed this for the past two years? Mysterious fires, livestock deaths, planes crashing into DCs, company sabotage, factories shut down for months by the government for a two hour fix? This shyte is not random IMHO.

This is a common topic in the channels I follow. It's part of the same agenda - to cripple the world's economy and send the world into complete chaos so "the elites" can "rebuild" our society in a way that financially and socially enslaves the entire world.

Seriously, if everyone on Earth read the book "1984" the world would erupt in revolution immediately, and this evil plan would end. There are still way too many people who have no idea what's really happening because they continue to believe the mainstream media narrative.

Brett, I would respectfully submit that there are enough (misguided, imo) ideologues polluting (ermmmm, meant to type populating) our current world that would find the order and consistency of the Orwellian planet worth pursuing. To the exclusion of dissent and discourse on the topic. That COULD be the revolution you mention.

Old School, thanks. I figured many on here would immediately transport to a place and time when troubles were few, days were too short, and all that mattered was a pole (cane, fiberglass or graphite mattered not which), some line, and enough space to relax and just BE.

That was my hope anyway. Anecdotal from the (sadly) consumer end of supply chains, there is still often a dearth of consumer goods on shelves in this area. I don't normally shop Walmart, but was stunned last time I was there at the amount of bare shelf space in grocery, clothing, and even housewares. Meds/OTC stuff was robustly filled. My local independent grocer (Basha's) seems to bear the brunt of it. Canned goods especially hard hit, all summer long. Not so much prepping as just not there...

Driver pal from my last outfit hauls a lot of furnishings for a major online retailer, as well as appliances and industrial goods. Industrial is slowing, but Hellinois is becoming the Great Escape (From) State so not a surprise. Consumer and white goods are still pretty strong from the DC's outbound.

for me it isn't slow per say but it's definitely slowed freight down with inflation. When I was picking up the load I got at the UPS distribution center they had several trailers that were just waiting for being assigned and one of the guys there said they have one trailer that's been there for a few weeks and it just now got a driver on there way for it.

The way it looks to me here is that I am not waiting days at a time for a load but there is a lot of trailers just sitting around waiting.

Things have really slowed down for me lately. I've been doing a lot of sitting lately. I have been sitting at the truck stop since 8:00 am PT waiting on a preplan. Nothing so far. My planners and DL are stating that freight is really light. Freight Waves has been stating that things are slow. I hoping that things will pick up soon for the holidays. It's not a good time to have less of an income with hyperinflation happening.
