Rob D,

PackRat is correct! It didn't matter if the driver had to deal with law enforcement or not. There was a potential serious situation that could have had the potential for harm or death to someone else on the highway. Hell it could have been one of your family members.

The driver was unaware of this I'm sure but to ignore it after you tried all the normal ways you should have made the phone call. I'm certain that the driver would have been thankful for alerting him in any way necessary.

Totally agree; 911 is the call. And warning others of the potential hazard. We gotta look out for each other.

I will definitely call 911 next time. Now that I look back on it I do realize that it doesn't matter whether it's an issue for him with law enforcement it needs to be addressed

That. Was. Awful. Very hard to watch; I didn't even finish...I quit watching when the LEO showed up and they blurried the lame cow. :(

On to the CB issue; many 'daycabbers' don't have them, often times due to the possibility of slip seating. My man IS in a daycab; pretty much the same one that he's been issued, all year. It HAS somebody's Uniden CB in it; which is great.

I actually want to buy him, his OWN for Christmas...I know he has a few 'oldies' on the shelf in the garage .. from his OTR days, full of dust.

I'm going to be researching this shortly; hoping to find a 'Black Friday' (online) deal. Any suggestions, as to a decent one ... that is almost 'portable?' I hear the 'handhelds' are junk.

Open for suggestions; even though one of the shelved ones is probably just fine, not very 'transferable' if they switch up his truck(s.)

Thanks, guys & gals!

OTR:

Over The Road

OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.

About an hour, PackRat. 45 min's down to C'bus, and then west about 15 minutes. You ever end up there ?!?!?

Doesn't need 'peaked and tuned' and all stuff you guys do? I've heard of that one. Thanks, PJ~!

That's a good Idea, Stevo. I'd let Tom craft THAT part himself, though....LoL. Pix?

I have a delivery, then a pick up, early afternoon on Sunday in West Jefferson.

I go through there often whenever I am in OH10. Not too much off the Interstate , excepting US-30 and 35 as a cut through over to Charleston, W.VA.

Interstate:

Commercial trade, business, movement of goods or money, or transportation from one state to another, regulated by the Federal Department Of Transportation (DOT).
